1095 High Carbon Steel (4-Pack)

These steel blanks are perfect for a knife maker. I’ve only just begun but they harden very well and are tough after tempering.

I ordered the 4 pack of 1095 high carbon steel just to try them out and see if this company might be better than who i usually get 1095 from 1- packaging was not the best basically the four pieces stuck together with packaging tape on both ends no effort to try to keep rust from forming 2- these were shear cut which leaves rough sides and anyone who has ever used a shear knows the pieces always have some sort of defect primarily a bow which with the pieces that is what has happened 3- as far as the finish its pretty good no deep gouges or scrapes so thats a plus 4- all in all i think i will stick with who i normally my steel from like i said these aren't the best but they are not the worst i have dealt with either but as a custom knife maker the more time I spend fixing issues the more time it takes to make a knife which means less productivity and less $$

Seems like nice quality. Very straight out of the package. Like that it’s made on the USA, not that foreign is bad but from what I understand USA made steel is better quality.

Very nice flat stock. Square edges. Hardens and tempers like 1095 should.
