The Three Little Aliens and the Big Bad Robot

Grandkids LOVE this book!
It's a great story and kids love the plot which is a 3 bears/3 little pigs meets a big bad space robot monster mashup. They try to find the right planet (3 bears) and the right structure (3 little pigs) to make their home but are foiled by the big bad robot. Youngsters also love the funny, impossible to pronounce name of one of the aliens (spelled mostly with consonants so I make a silly garbled sound) and it cracks kids up every time. Got this for my grandson over 10 years ago and this year gifted a copy for my granddaughter--she loves it! Great for the 7 and under set (she's a mature 3 1/2).

What? Can’t put down a kids book? YEP!
I love this book. I can’t wait to give it to my 5 yr old grandson who loves robots. Here’s how much I love it: it comes in the mail, I start reading it, I can’t stop —yes a children’s book that you can’t put down. My husband came into the room and started talking to me and I shhhh’d him —don’t bother me now I’m reading! Hah!Love the story (a cute take on a classic), the artwork and the overall creativity. I’m going to video my husband reading it the first time to our grandson because he will know how to pronounce the 3rd alien’s name and I know it will be hilarious.Great book. Get it. It’s a keeper.

Out of This World Fun
This book is currently my son's favirite book. It is a delightful retell of the Three Little Pigs classic tale. Set in space, three little aliens must figure out how to stay safe from the Big Bad Robot. The story is fun and different enough from the classic to feel fresh and new. My son loves the "robot noises" that we can make when reading this book. An added plus is that it is a great way to provide an early instruction of the planet order. My son, who is 3, can name all the planets of our system, in order, thanks to this book. I LOVE the illustrations. The colors are eyecatching. The illustrations are fantastic.

Stellar Spin on the Three Little Pigs
I collect retellings of fables and fairy tales, and The Three Little Aliens and the Big Bad Robot is a stellar spin on the Three Little Pigs. Remember the menacing wolf in the original tale:"Little pig, little pig, let me come in.""No, no, not by the hair on my chinny chin chin.""Then I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house in."Children's author Margaret McNamara replaces the big bad wolf with the BIG BAD ROBOT. I'm also a space enthusiast, so this modern version caught my eye. The big bad robot attempts to crack and smack and whack down the doors of three little aliens' homes comprised of a shiny space rover, a passing satellite, and the third one made of stardust, solar panels, and a telescope:"Little alien! Little alien!" bleeped the Robot. "Pull over! PULL OVER!""Not by the wheels of my trusty space rover!" cried Bork bravely."Then I'll crack and smack and whack your house down!" meeped the Robot.LOL!Young readers and space enthusiasts, like me, will enjoy this fun romp through our solar system. The text is quite clever and the illustrations are a riot.McNamara + Fearing = Two thumbs up!

Great bedtime story
My 7 year old loves this book. The three Little pigs is one of his favorite stories and we are also really into robots so this was right up our alley! The only reason I'm giving it two Stars is because on of the aliens name is impossible to pronounce. It's basically just a mixture of random letters. We renamed him and it was no big deal. The story is cute and I love the planet aspect. We read it every night the pictures are nice and it's only about a 10 minutes read.

Son Loves It
My son never gets tired of this one, and it’s entertaining for adults too. One of the alien’s names is phonetically impossible to pronounce, so you’ll have to make up a pronunciation and stick with it.

Very enjoyable
My 2.5 year old daughter loves this book. It's a cute story, and I liked that it has a bit of information about the planets at the end.

different take on old favourite
I always enjoy a different take on an old favourite and was not disappointed tho' I would have preferred it if the join in section of the story was always the same. Nice illustrations plus scientific accuracy of planet information an added bonus.A good buy
