Unique way to sprinkle with one hand !
Looks cool & works great ! Sprinkle salt using one hand ! While grilling you’re holding a spatula in one hand & this is designed to use the other hand to open the dome like top & use your fingers to add salt as needed ! Very cool ! Well made with quality materials . Sturdy & durable !

Happy with my purchase
At first, it required two hands to open, but after lubing it with some oil, I can easily open and close it single handed. My salt doesn't clump together, either. I think a trap door design would be slightly more convenient, but this is the best I could find—definitely beats the horizontal and removable lid designs.

Nice, but mainly in plastic
This salt holder would have been nicer in another material than a white plastic, but I still keep it for its design. Only the lid is in stainless steel. It contains the equivalent of the salt packaging on my picture, which is 125g or 4.40 oz or 0.275 lb. Quality seems ok, but I think it is a bit difficult to wash and dry correctly whenever necessary. After that, it does its job and it is pleasant visually.

Perfect for my stamp shammy towels
I bought this for a discount under used, great condition. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I am happy I have the used option a try. I got a perfect item with a fairly significant discount. Thank you!!!

Not just for salt
I am a paper crafter. I use a lot of ink when I am working. I like to keep a wet microweave cloth handy - not only to clean my hands, but my stamps and work area. I have a limited work area and have a tendency to either "bury" or drop my cleaning cloth. On the internet, I saw a fellow crafter use this salt cellar to hold her cleaning cloth. I just had to get one for myself. Now my cloth stays handy and damp wet whenever I need it - only drawback is that this cellar keeps the cloth damp for days & the cloth can get smelly. The rest of the cellar stays dry. It is so very easy to use. I have a 2nd one for sugar and it works great!

Almost there....lid won't stay shut
This is a great looking product (and that counts since it will sit out on my counter). It holds a good amount of salt - which is great. And the domed lid is a great idea versus a salt shaker if using the salt for cooking. So what's your problem? The domed lid doesn't close very securely. A good % of the time it creeps open a bit, opening the salt up to exposure to moisture and whatever else is going on in the kitchen -the very thing we are trying to prevent. The lid likely needs some weight or other add-on to keep it closed. Also, keep in mind the lid doesn't lock at all. If the bowl gets knocked over, the salt is going everywhere. I knew that going in but this is a bad idea if your kids may be involved in using this.

So handy to use
So much easier to use than having the salt box to use that you have to open each time. Can’t be done with one hand like this salt dispenser. Also it is easier to control how much salt (or any other substance) you use.

Love this bowl!
I bought this to keep dog training treats on hand. Before buying this I kept the dog treats in an uncovered bowl and I didn't like smelling the dried beef liver all the time. We moved to an apartment and my dog is still getting used to apartment life- he often barks when he hears sounds in the hallway. With this covered bowl I can have his treats close to me and I don't have to smell the beef liver all the time. When my dog barks I simply flip open the lid and I can get him to stop barking with a liver treat. I LOVE this bowl. I am thinking of buying a few more to keep treats in the other rooms. This salt cellar is accurately described and it works great for my little dog's treats. I would imagine it would work well for spices or salt, too.

Sucks as a salt cellar, looks good for fun storage.
Not great as a salt cellar. The gaps where the cover slides open or close is a salt trap! The trapped salt either falls INTO the container or sticks around causing the cover to get stuck. When I finally get around to it, I guess I can possibly wash the trapped salt out by immersing the whole thing in water. There's a small hole at the bottom to allow drainage, I think. (see pics) However! As a cute container for earrings or other junk on a counter, it works.

Great Addition to My Craft Table!
I love this little gem. Although it isn’t being used as a salt cellar, it is thoroughly and successfully serving its purpose as a receptacle for my Lawn Fawn stamp cleaning shammi: keeping it nice and moist, readily available for use right on my work surface with just the flip of its stainless steel cover.

Good purchase
I use this too keep my shammy damp during crating sessions . I had seen them used for this purpose in various craft demos and they were recommended by the demonstrators .. However I don't think they are available anymore , as I wanted to get one for a friend and cannot find them ...
