Watkins Organic Italian Salad Dressing Mix, 0.85 oz. Packets, 12-Pack

I purchased mine for a couple dollars less last week and at about a 1.25 each it is a great deal. I mixed mine as directed without any thing extra as I usually try to Dr. Things up. This was perfect and the taste was on point, better than the refrigerated over priced ones I normally buy. Made a full 1 quart jar. Will be ordering more for sure. Can't wait to try the other Watkins mixes.

I really like this ranch. It’s delicious! Each packet makes about 2 cups of dressing. It’s a great value for an organic mix with clean ingredients and no yucky fillers.

Watkins ranch mix packets are okay. I made to use mayo, sour cream, milk and seasonings to tweak it to how i like ranch dressing. Good dry mix on meat and potatoes before cooking.

Good Seasons dressing packets when mixed as directed inevitably leads to a relatively gloopy dressing which I guess the manufacturer intends for a "creamy" appearance. I find it too heavy and wind up adding more vinegar so that it's more fluid. Flavor wise, that big box maker's dressing has the distinctive MSG-like umami in among its variously processed dry herbs. Watkins Organic is quite a contrast. After mixing the dressing flows more smoothly and pours nicely, and coats salad evenly straight away. Most striking to me was how piquant the flavor is, suggesting the organic herbs lend a lot more freshness to the mix. Not spicy, just peppery, vibrant. Goes without saying, best to let sit for an hour or so as directed, and preferable to use once it gets to room temperature out of the fridge. Less so than Good Seasons with its thickeners but still essential.

I used to be a big HV junkie. I will never buy HVR again! I can mix up as much as I need, or as little, fresh each time in seconds. The flavor is just like the HV brand but you can mix to your own personal ‘strength’ and thickness depending on your needs. Is awesome to make thicker for a dip, runny for salad dressing. Can use unflavored yogurt instead of sour cream for same taste but no fat if you like. We just sprinkle a bit in a small dish over the base each time and the powder has never tasted stale or less fresh even after being clipped closed for a couple months after opening. Plus its ORGANIC! No stomach irritation, acid reflux, or icky feeling from GMO/pesticides and chemicals like other products.

I liked that it was organic. However, the hidden Valley ranch dressing taste so much better. Even though it’s bad for you.

I’ve only made dip with this so far and it was excellent. There was an abundance of flavor. I look forward to the salad dressing but worry because it may not last long due to the ingredients being sour cream. 🥲
