I never much knew the smell of turmeric, my sister had some and put it into tea with cardamom and cinnamon and I do cook lentils a lot and it's in a lot of East Indian recipes. Sometimes I stick my nose in the jar and inhale taking in the scent (I move items into glass storage containers). It's a beautiful color, fragrance, and gets soft and maybe dissolves in my cooked items. Musky sweetness. Be careful, it stains - clean up any spills quickly. I use stainless steel pans and even after a few days and reheating (steeping) the teas or bean dishes, it still didn't stain the pans.

This product really impressed me. Great quality, works just as expected, and has quickly become a favorite. Highly recommend!

It’s a very thick cut. Need to deep the tea for at least 5-10 minutes. Great taste!

Used in Tonic. Prefer fresh to dried but with it being so difficult to find in our area, especially organic, THIS product is a GODSEND! So grateful. Took a couple days to reconstitute within the tonic but I can see it releasing it's love into the tonic as it's gotten that yellowy-gold tinge around each little nugget of turmeric. Definitely keeping this on hand.
