keeps onion smell LOCKED IN!
I have a terrible time keeping onion smell out of my refrigerator after cutting them and putting them in a regular container. I have tried everything, even glass, but the smell always gets through. I was to the point that I would wrap the onion in foil, then saran wrap, then ziploc baggies and then into a glass container. a big waste! i saw this and bought it, cut an onion in half and put it in there. It's been in my refrigerator for 2 days and no odor! big WIN!

Handy onion keeper
I really like this onion storage container. In my family if there is a partial onion in a plastic zip type bag, it might get lost in the refrigerator. With the container, we all know if it is clean there isn't an onion growing old in the fridge. I wash it easily by hand. The lid is airtight so the smell doesn't escape in the refrigerator. Sometimes onions are too big to fit. I tend to preemptively use the outside layers of larger onions first if I know the onion is not going to fit. This is one of those items I wish I had known about years ago.

Cute, good size, works well, good seal
I ordered this out of curiosity. I really like it. Just about the size of a large onion, and there is a gasket around the rim of the lid, so I think it will genuinely keep the onion odor out of other foods in the frig. My neighbor looked at it and started listing all sorts of things she could use it for, not just onions, so I ordered a few more. Now I can recycle all those yogurt containers, eh?

Good for medium and small onions
The container works well but is on the small side. Isn't anywhere close to holding half of a jumbo sized onion. I have it pictured next to a 6oz tomato paste can.

It may be labeled an onion holder but it holds fruits and vegetables too
Well made. Easy on and off lid. Airtight. Works like a charm. I have had 1/2 a tomato in it for a week and no spoilage. Easy to clean. It is definitely worth the price, I think. I ordered more for other cut fruits.

It actually works!
I bought it to trap onion smell when in my refrigerator, and it DOES! It’s nice and large, and no double bagging necessary! It holds in all smell by itself! Highly recommend! ~Christina
