Excellent piece of kit
A good racket for table tennis that will improve your ability to spin the ball. Gives a player a lot more control over the ball, easy to hold and easy to carry.

Rather pricey but it was money well spent.
I took up table tennis again after a break of around 20 years. My old bat was long gone somewhere so I needed something new. I played league TT for many years so quite experienced. It's difficult nowadays as places to try a bat before purchasing are few & far between, so honest reviews on here help a lot.I bought a Palio Legend 3.0 here on Amazon as it had good reviews. It wasn't bad but definitely has its limitations. I played with it for a year but there were certain shots that I just couldn't get right - shots that I used to perform with my old Stiga bat no problem. So, to find out if it was the Palio or old age, I decided to upgrade to the Stiga Pro Carbon+I've only had it two weeks but the difference is amazing already! Sooo much better than the Palio. The forehand and backhand smashes now work like they should - much faster and more effective.Control is pretty good too. Lots of spin can be generated and it has given me confidence to play shots that the Palio just couldn't handle.Sure, the bat is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. I'm very happy with my purchase, it has definitely improved my game.

Average rubbers, great bat
Bought this bat before I started making my own bats, which is highly recommended since you can make a bat that suits your play and not the other way around.I expected this bat to be really fast, and even when it's faster than other cheaper premade bats, it felt slow. I had to put more power than I should to get the bat over the net with loops and flicks, and I thought that it was my technique. I lent it to some of my friends who are more advanced than me and they said that it was slow (even when their bats were 5-7 layers of wood and rakza 7 soft/nittaku fast arc g1 kind of rubbers). When one of my rubbers was damaged in the middle, I took the risk and peeled the rubber off, and luckily it came off in one piece without damaging the blade, and so did the other side. I sealed the blade (highly recommended, it's like a thin layer of varnish), and put new rubbers on... The blade has such a great feeling and feedback! With almost all the rubbers I've tried on it, it feels great, very controlled shots, very consistent... I've used on it AK47 yellow/Red, then Moon Galaxy tense (the one who's performed the worst by the way, Rakza 7 soft -super nice-, and Rakza X -super nice as well-).I am not sure if my rubbers were somehow off, because it seems to be a very indulgent blade, seems to go well either with soft rubbers for a medium speed bat with great control, or with harder/springier rubbers for an offensive setup. I've not tried it with high end rubbers such as Tenergy, MX-P or Dignics, but I would like to hear if anyone has done it.

Excellent bat for attacking play
I've waited a month before reviewing the Pro Carbon+ bat so this is based on a fair amount of usage. The bat replaced a Stiga Vision 4 star bat which was fine but was starting to be limiting as (ie relatively slow though with great control). To cover some points raised in other reviews. The bat does smell a bit at first, but this wears off. Don't worry about it. In play the bat is well balanced (the weight is more towards the handle than with the Vision) and light (about 170g). It feels very comfortable when attacking. The rubber is grippy (not tacky) and produces excellent spin (on both sides). In play, especially when drive attacking, there is a good solid feel to the bat when you strike the ball. Top spin loops stay fairly low (good), and it's helped me develop a very successful backhand chop. Blocking needs care as the bat is fairly fast for a readymade bat and it can be difficult to control so you need good technique. Overall the Pro Carbon+ is a significant upgrade on the 4 star Vision bat, especially for experienced players who like to attack with spin. I guess it's aimed at those of us not interested in putting our own custom bats together and who have sufficient technique and experience to use it effectively.I had given 5 stars but have reduced this to 3 stars because of the fluctuating pricing policy on this item. Stiga's own official site sells this item for around £100-£130 (September 2024).
