Sheaffer Prelude Deep Blue w/Horizontal Line Engraving and Fine Nib Fountain Pen

All metal pen ,in cobalt blue and red gold accents and fine nibb . Converter included . Pen writes just nice amount of wetness and is smooth . This pen is well worth adding to any enthusiasts collection and worthy of the Sheaffer name for excellence.It has an ergonomic grip that is slightly triangular to promote correct pen grip . Extremely comfortable to use.

I've seen comparisons between this pen and the Parker Sonnet. Both are good pens, and the Parker usually wins in side-by-side comparisons. I'll be the weird one and say I like this one better. It's just a hair wider, and the cap seems to be more secure. Maybe I had a defective Sonnet, but sometimes the cap came off. This one doesn't, whether it's on the pen or posted.

this is a very high quality fountain pen. the barrel and cap made of metal and heavier than most fountain pens. I bought the fine nib and it wrote smooth, no skip, ink flow just right, no wet no dry. it's a beautiful fountain pen. I like it a lot.

This pen was actually the Prelude Cobalt Blue Fountain Pen, Fine Nib. It's aesthetically beautiful; but the nib is too fine and, therefore, "scratchy." I have used Sheaffer pens since high school, shortly after the earth's mantle hardened, and have a fondness for the brand although A.T. Cross purchased the company in 2014 and uses manufacturers in Asia. Because Asian nibs tend to be finer that European fine nibs, this one came too fine for my writing. Further, as I age and develop and arthritic thumb, the grip on the hold, is a little too small and to far down the hold to be comfortable. I lament it because I love the pen for it color and style. Only, I cannot use it in comfort and need a bit more nib width to write smoothly and comfortably.

Great fountain pen, I really like how it looks and how smooth it writes. Great looking nib with beautiful engraving which is rare in this price segment. Comes with original Sheaffer converter, I personally prefer cartridges, bit for those who use converters it will be a good bonus as converters usually sold separately. Definately recommend.

Writes great… good sized….closes snug over knob and holds well in pocket could supply in pack with fine and medium knibs

This pens writes beautifully for a pen in this price range, I use it as an everyday pen. All of my Sheaffer pens are of excellent quality. I would feel confident in recommending this pen.

Just received today and faster than expected. Amazon has amazing customer care, I usually fear importing US items to saudi due to shipping and lead time. But this was awesome!! Pen with Fine Nib is extremely smooth and amazing. Matte finish gives elegant look This is purely an executive Pen for people who’s a taste.

Sehr schöner Füller, aber leider ist die Schriftweite breit und ich hatte schmal bestellt. Federigeren habe ich 6 Woche auf die Auslieferung warten müssen. Letztlich benötigt der Füller eigene Patronen von Sheffer. Lamy oder Pelican passen nicht.

Fantastic service, arrived ahead of expectations. Great price, great service. All aspects of the transaction were excellent. Even though the pen is towards the budget end of the spectrum, it's still a smooth writer with no skips or mis-starts. Looks good too. Very happy all in all
