My nutritionist suggested I stop using whey and switch to Kelly B’s grass-fed beef protein powder, which uses bone broth as the base, and I’m so glad I did. I love it. The taste is really good and, more importantly, the ingredients are clean, minimal, and easy to feel good about. My husband was skeptical at first, but he’s officially converted and enjoys it too. One tip: it can get a little clumpy if you just stir it in, especially in coffee, so I recommend using a frother for a smooth mix. Overall, a great whey-free protein option and I’d absolutely recommend it.

I absolutely love this protein & I was skeptical at first. In my opinion, it’s worth the money for the quality of the ingredients, the taste & how well my body digests it. I have a mild case of Hashimoto’s and allergies so I have to be very picky with what I eat, otherwise, I don’t feel as well. I use this 1 to 2x a day. First thing in the am with LMNT salt (chocolate or caramel- also recommend) and collagen. Having protein first thing in am blunts the cortisol in my body, which helps a lot to get the day started. You will need a shaker cup to mix it & it takes some mixing without the salt supplement. But worth it. Perfect for blended smoothies as well.

Finally, a protein that I can take that doesn’t cause any issues with my gut. I’m more consistent in drinking protein. I have between one and three a day. I have noticed that my skin is much healthier. It’s definitely helping in my weight loss journey. I’m allergic to all dairy of all kinds and most diets rely on cheese and whey as a main source of protein. It’s taking me a lot of years to find a beef isolate that doesn’t cause me issues with the right kind of sweetener good flavor and very good protein. I do drink it hot and sometimes I will add peanut butter powder or seasoning like pumpkin pie seasoning to add a little bit different flavor.

My family and I buy this protein powder again and again. It only has 3 super clean ingredients which is very important to me. The fewer ingredients, the better! The chocolate is great for tons of smoothie recipes. I make a shake with this protein every single day and usually also make one for my kids (though I would recommend half a scoop for little kids). One scoop has 24g of protein for a great, filling shake. My only complaint is that it doesn't blend as smoothly if you're only shaking it. It blends perfectly smooth in a blender though which is how I make it 100% of the time.

I love Kelly and how clean this protein powder is; however, it doesn’t blend well even in a Vitamix. If some gets on the sides of the blender it will leave clumps. It’s also VERY VERY VERY sweet which makes me wonder how much mono fruit is in a serving. I would love to see this have more blending power and less sweet.

Taste takes some getting used to...really wish they used no sweetener or just a organic sugar because the monk fruit adds a flavor that is less than desirable. However, it is one of the better tasting and nutritional options that is also consistently "clean" and low in ingredient count. It also doesn't dissolve very well. Get the best result with a blender vs. stirring or a shaker bottle. Texture is fairly watery as well.

I really enjoy the grass fed protein from Be Well By Kelly. I think it has a good flavor and texture and I like that there aren’t a million ingredients. I’ve had the vanilla and like that too. I accidentally ordered the other version of her protein powder. I believe it’s vegan pea protein? I did not like that version. I will be sticking with this. I’ve been ordering her protein powders for 5 or 6 years.

I would have given this product a 5 star, except they offer no return policy. I was having trouble finding a protein powder that I could digest, which were all plant based, as I can't have milk-based protein. My cousin sent me links about Kelly and her grass fed beef protein powder. She recommended the chocolate flavor. I purchased it. It was delicious, but the cacao caused me terrible acid reflux. I should have listened to my instincts and bought the vanilla, but I was hesitant because of some of the reviews. I wish I had listened to my instincts. $56 down the drain. UPDATE: I ended up purchasing the Vanilla flavor and I'm so glad I did! I do not find it too sweet at all. It is delicious! I love the simple ingredients. Highly recommend.
