Are these sticks maple or hickory?

The Zildjian site is useless in this case -- however, my supplier says that the black DIP models are made from U.S. Select Hickory.

Not sure what you mean by “beaded?” I like both the plastic tips and wooden, so I buy both all the time.

Yes. These sticks are dipped in an anti-slip coating. Not so thick as to be uncomfortable, but enough keep a decent grip if your hands get a little sweaty.
