Large bag of good quality perlite
If you use a lot of perlite this is much more economical than buying the small bags from the garden centres. The granule size is variable (as described), with the largest granules probably a little bigger than those in the garden centre bags, but all very usable and I was able to mix it with compost easily to create a well-aerated mix. Inevitably there’s some dust, but so far no worse than any other perlite I’ve used (may get dustier as I work down the bag). The perlite sack was delivered inside a bin bag as noted by others and some buyers have commented on the bags splitting. So far I’ve had no problems, but the bag doesn’t seem particularly robust, so retaining the outer (bin) bag or putting it in another container is probably sensible. Based on experience to date, I’ll be ordering again when this has been used up.

Amazing Value - and making a difference to plants
This huge bag has lasted all year. It's been put in indoor planting, outdoor planting - can't believe how little goes a long way. And I can't believe the difference in price here compared to buying in local garden centres. It would cost £100 for the same amount if I bought it in the local shops in small bags. Repotting swiss cheese plants using a perlite and soil mix has improved their root drainage massively and makes shifting the plant around a lot easier as the container is now half the weight, as perlite is super light. Outdoor veg and flower troughs are now less hassle to move around too and the perlite means roots get a great chance to spread fast and drain easily - which is a bonus in windy, rainy Scotland. I've also been adding it to areas of soil the garden which house plants best grown in grit and they seem to be thriving even though the sun was WEFfing stolen from us this Summer for a month and a half the day after solstice. Giant bag of great quality perlite. Easy to store, even though it's big, because it's so easy to shift around. Absolute bargain. Going to order next year's bag now. About to buy next year's bag.

As it says - 2-7mm perlite - it arrived very quickly.
I have been using SilvaPerl for many years in potting composts for water-sensitive plants. That is very tightly graded by size. This product is 2-5mm screened and that means that oval pieces a bit more than 5mm long are present. Because the fines pack between the larger, you actually get quite a bit more weight with this product than with SilvaPerl. I would not recommend it for use anywhere but for poting - in garden soil it is too expensive and crumbles when worked. Besides, coarse gritty sand is very cheap and works to lighten/make friable even the heaviest clay soil.

Nice large bag
Large bag perfect for mixing with compost for alpines. Seller was brilliant, Evri lost my parcel then returned it to them! Seller had excellent communications and sent out another before Evri sorted themselves out. Wear eye protection if using outside and its windy tho its a bit dusty (some very fine particles, not dirt)

It’s a big bag - good value
Great value if you use a lot of Perlite in potting up young plants. A big bag, although obviously very light - I’ve found it easier to decant into sealed tubs to minimise the dust in the air. Perlite adds drainage to pots for young plants and seedlings. I didn’t find it so good for dahlia tubers in pots though. If keeping the bag outside, wrap it up in a bin bag or similar and keep it out of the rain.
