My 3 yr old grandson loves the frogs in our pond and also the caterpillars I have been raising to realease the butterflies so it seemed like the perfect thing for him. He is learning to put them in the correct order of their life cycles. The only thing I wish would be different is the caterpillar and chrysallis are too large in comparison to the other things but I'm very happy I got them. They are realistic and durable.

We purchased this butterfly life cycle toy set to teach my son about the life cycle of a butterfly before we raised some of our own. This helped him understand the different stages of a butterfly/caterpillars life. This toy was a big enough size to be safe from being a choking hazard with my 1 year old but also wasn't too big either!
