This pinpointer works. It will detect various metals. It offers multiple alert functions. It will beep, vibrate, or beep and vibrate. The tone and vibration increase as you get closer to the metal. The battery life seems to be good. This pinpointer increases finds and adds to the fun of metal detecting.

This is a really nice pinpointer.The only thing that I found to be a real pain is that it comes on by itself? While it's hanging in its pouch, so I think I'm gonna make a kaydax. Rigid pouch for it. That way it won't continue to go off. And when it's hanging on my belt, but other than that, it works great. And it's loud enough for somebody that's already hearing. And it's a bright color so it's easy to keep track of it's water resistant. And priced, really nice, enjoy.I know i'm having fun

Update below.⏬Ok so I’m not happy that right out of the box it did not Work. Put brand new 9 volt battery in. But the contacts would not work. The space was to big to hold the 9 volt battery in place and it would move inside from up down to sideways . I put a rubber stopper in the cap to hold the battery in place. It worked. Bummer I had to do that .... cuz overall it was easy to use and was accurate. Yet to put it to the test under 💦 water. So I would have given a 5 star but it did not work out of the box . Disappointment since I was with my niece’s and nephew who I took out to have fun. 🆙 date! Right now I’m impressed with this company. Remember this name Sakobs. They sent me an email so that I could receive a new pin pointer and that’s exactly what they did. With a battery... and guess what, worked right out of the box. This pin pointer does what it says. It has helped me save time when digging for treasure. And worked flawlessly underwater. I am going to have to give a 5 ⭐️ rating.. for outstanding customer service and a device that works and is easy to use. Plus it came with a treasure bag and belt holder. I will be buying from this company again. I’m so impressed with the integrity and quality of this company. Sakobs thank you for making my purchase right. And for you reaching out to me. I will update again when I go snorkeling in the Summer for fishing gear:) Love Love Love. I cant tell you the punishment I’ve put this through and it’s still working. I love this pin pointer! I have been metal detecting for a long time I didn't think I needed a pinpointer, boy was I wrong. It takes half as long to find my target 🎯 , I won't go detecting without one now. I guess the saying you can't teach an old dog new tricks isn't true. The reason for 4 stars is this model pinpointer occasionally when turned on will go on, you have to turn off and on again? But outside of this it works great .

This Sakobs pinpointer works well, as compared to my Minelab Pro-Find 20. In static tests it detected all modern U.S. coins approximately 2" from the tip as well as 1.5-2" from the side. I have not tested the waterproof functionality nor the ruggedness, only time will tell. I did notice on occasion when I turned it on with the tip pointing straight up or straight down it would beep and vibrate uncontrollably. Turning the pinpointer off, then on again with the tip pointing to the side seemed to remedy this conundrum . Over all, I would say it's a really good bang for the buck. UPDATE: I found out why it beeped uncontrollably during powering on. I was in my kitchen while powering it on with the tip pointing towards the counter. Below the counter was a drawer full of silverware and it threw off the calibration while it was powering on. I also found that if the pointer is touching metal while powering on, the device will not work at all. Like any metal detector, it is best to power it on with the pointer pointing an inch or so over the ground where you'll be detecting. This way the pointer will ground balance to the minerals in the soil of the area you're detecting.

Does what it says it will do. No issues. Easy to use.

So I ordered this pinpointer and the Garrett one as well that was 129.00. I am very satisfied with it's performance. As you can see in the pics, these are some of my finds. Some were just under the surface, but some were about a foot under on soil that is dry, rocky, and sandy in New Mexico. Very happy with the purchase. Not quite as accurate as the Garrett, but have had no problems with it and as you can see from the pic it does the job very well. Haven't had a chance to try it in water, not much around here, but will update this summer when I take it out on the lake.

Not waterproof at all dont waist your time. Absolute trash product.

Advertisement says it sad detect object like 4.5 inches.. what I got only can detect 2 inches.. looking for something that can do 3 inches or more.
