Doesn't ruin your expensive machine
There are no tangles, thread breakage, lint or dust from product. Typically it has Micro-core technology which is a fancy way of saying on a microscopic level you won't visualize thread hairs hanging off or flaking. No split ends! This is good news. You might pay a little bit more but in the long run these spools are worth their weight in gold, they can last upwards of 50 years. Preferably it may come from Germany but USA thread is perfect too. May cause excitement for crafters.

Heavy duty and great all around thread.
Super duper thread. Highly recommend. Black and White of the Sew-all Thread. *NOTE the White is ALL WHITE- I don't know why the picture has some multi-colors in it.Update 4/3/2016After using this thread for 5 months I thought I would post a follow up. I have been using this tread in several of my domestic machines. I use a Babylock BLR2, Viking Mega Quilter, Brother PQ1500 and Memory Craft 4500. This thread worked GREAT in all my machines. (I keep all my machines clean and well oiled) I mostly quilt and piece. (depending on what stage I'm at..I use all my machines) I have been using Aurifil 40 weight for my piecing and can honestly say it still creates lint and fluff in my machines. I am cleaning often when I use all cotton..(which is known because its cotton). Aurifil is a good thread...but the $$ it costs I wonder if its worth it. With this thread...I can sew and sew and sew and have very LITTLE lint...its kinda a joy to use. Its strong and thin, pieces beautifully and looks great. More color choices would be nice in this size..but black and white cover mostly what you need.I just finished a denim quilt with the black thread, and this thread was just great. The black blended beautifully with the dark denims, and strong to hold together denim squares and the white to quilt down the charm squares and batting to the denim. Some quilters are from the old school....cotton, cotton, cotton..and NEVER use anything else. I think they are missing out on some great new threads, or had some bad experiences with cheap or poorly made polyesters. Give this a try...its a great go to thread to keep in your kits!

Gutermann thread quality
It’s the best quality thread that I know of. It’s without slubs or thin spots so you know it won’t bunch up in the sewing machine needle and break.

Beautiful Big Spool
Read that this was the best brand of thread to purchase. I have thread at least 30 years old. Having problems with my machine and it was suggested that thread might be too old, so I’m replacing a little bit at a time. The color of this thread is so white that it’s almost actually blue, just beautiful! Nice big spool that I’ll be able to use for many projects!

Overjoyed and in love!
I have been sewing for over 20 years and have used Coats/Coats & Clark brand thread for all that time. It was cost effective and trouble-free and up until recently I had no reason to change it. When I began doing supplies research for my online clothing store aimed at a specific type of 1/3 and 1/4 scale collector dolls, I simply wanted to see if there was another good brand of thread that came in spools larger than 500 yards. I had always seen the Gutermann thread at Joann's, but it seemed very expensive for the same product I was already buying. It was a bit of a surprise when I came looking on Amazon and found this thread that has twice as much per spool at about $8 when the 500yd spools I bought locally were about $5. I was a bit nervous switching brands of thread, but since I have only been working on outfit mockups, if it didn't work then my customers wouldn't know. I was just hoping I could save some time not having to re-thread bobbins so much. That was two months ago. I have made a crazy amount of things with a single spool that is now nearly empty, and I'm ready to order two more. This thread is SO perfect for what I needed. The strand is smaller than the Coats all-purpose thread, but honestly I think it is a bit stronger. I have not had a single problem with it in my machine, a Brother CS6000i my husband bought me recently (also from Amazon.) No knotted bobbins, no snapped threads, no tangles or anything. I've had more problems occasionally with the Coats thread. I can truthfully say that I am pleased beyond belief, especially because I never expected to find a thread better than my tried & true Coats brand. I love the Gutermann thread so much that I was gushing to my mom and sister about it just yesterday. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect thread for what I needed.
