I use this all the time on Chevy Malibu and HHRs water pump and its very easy to use! Worth every penny to make life so much easier! I prefer to use this over the half moon version!

Must have when replacing the pump !
Must have when replacing the water pump. Make sure you have a 10mm socket with thinner walls before you use it. You can grind the tip off of the socket like I did. Works great. Don’t tighten bolts that hold the tool in place to tight because it will move the gear away from pump and the water pump’s bolts are very short.

Better than the standard GM "half moon" tool
This tool is perfect for the job. I highly recommend it over the standard "half moon" tool. This one seals the timing chain compartment gap preventing you from dropping any bolts down in there, and if you've never done the water pump job, it's very easy to drop them given the tight working space.I can confidently say, without this tool, I very likely would have dropped a bolt down in the timing chain compartment. So this tool worked perfectly for a DIYer like me.
