Since no one has reviewed yet - I've installed 3 of these bulbs as tests to try to avoid replacing existing metal halide ballast fixtures. The tests have gone great - these LED bulbs are brighter than the original metal halides, and (by my choice of 5000K color) whiter. The only tricky thing about them is I've had to use two socket extenders on each bulb to get the "neck" of these bulbs to fit into my recessed fixtures. I can't speak to bulb life yet, but again my testing has gone quite well. I plan to install about a dozen more once I have a lift lined up to complete my project.
