but this is better. I'm not a professional welder
I bought it after years of getting a welders tan. Used to wear an old flannel shirt, but this is better. I'm not a professional welder, otherwise I would have had protection decades ago. I'm 195 pounds, 6' 2 and this fits pretty snugly. A sweatshirt under it would be too much, would be restrictive,so it's not a very loose cut. It's good and covers well. pretty dense, so no more red arms. Probably better in warm weather than leather. I'm in La.so it works for me.

My top choice for 16 yrs
This is my top choice for everyday use in a industrial welding environment been doing this 12 years and this is my favorite for the majority of my welding tasks I have other welding leather jackets much heavier strictly for overhead welding but sometimes I just rock this one for overhead but I don’t stand directly under my overhead position with a little experience you’ll make this jacket work.I’ve also noticed that the made in Mexico Miller jackets are higher quality than when it shows made from other countries they come a little cheaper so make sure there made in Mexico those are the good ones.

Great jacket
It works and fits great. The best perk for me is that its light and doesn't make me overheat while working outside.

Good for the price but not durable enough for every day use
I welded with it heavily for about 3 months. Worked great for a couple and started to burn through. The left sleeve has burned through so much it doesn't cover the top of my forearm anymore. Welding with it occasionally would work around the house for awhile but I need something more durable. My next one will be the split leather, with leather sleeves.

Not a jacket, more like a thick shirt
Figured for the price it was going to be a thick shirt, which it was. But overall, I'm satisfied.

Great protection
Good fit. Been using it for a month now and I still don't see any burn holes. The neck is Velcro so it adjusts to my neck and I can still have my headphones come through the neck comfortably. Sleeves are a perfect length like a regular dress shirt. I wish they were a little longer.

Great buy.
This is my first welding jacket, I have been working (diy, as a hobby) for years with no jacket/gloves till 10 months ago when my shirt start burning while working with a 4.5" grinder, I ended that noon in the hospital & a lot of scars (for life...). Bought it the next day (well, one day too late I guess). Anyway, since that day, I wear that jacket for any welding/grinder work. It protects well, there is one specific spot on the right sleeve that Sparks go through it, don't see why, but it happens and it burns... (go through the fabric). I work with it during the Israeli summer which is hot. Not that fun, but doable. Bottom line, I really like this jacket.

Durable and Fits Well
I bought this as a hobby welder that's just getting started. Safety is paramount, so a fire resistant jacket to prevent skin and clothes from getting burned is a must have. This jacket is specifically meant for welding, is durable and does the job nicely. I've used it 5 or 6 times since purchase. It seems high quality and should last a long time. The jacket was only available in large size. With a size 40 chest, this jacket is a bit big for me but still works. It would still fit a size 44 person well. No stars removed because, after all, I chose to purchase regardless of the size and the jacket itself is well worth it.
