As with most people I have made the change from plastic to glass in all my kitchen items. Unfortunately, even the glass containers come with some plastic, either covers or straws. I purchased these glass straws to eliminate that issue. I do have stainless steel water bottles but those even have plastic straws. Ordered these glass straws but was concerned they may be fragile and cause more harm than good. The minute I opened them I could feel how well made and durable they appeared. While washing in the sink I dropped one and it did not crack or break. Amazing!! They are so smooth and fit well in my large water container perfectly. It did come with a straw cleaner, that I found to be very coarse, not sure if I will use that. I do not intend to put in the dishwasher but hand wash. They are already bent so that works. They are thick and durable after using a few days. Very functional alternative to plastic and I believe they will last a long time. No residual taste that I can detect. Beautifully designed and functional.

We needed shorter straws for our smaller cups and these perfectly fit the bill. I like that they are slightly bent and fit the curve of the glass, and that they are made from glass so I don't have to worry about safety. These so far have been dishwasher-safe, so I just pop them in to clean them and reuse.

They appear to be great quality and easy to clean…. But because they are glass an element of care will be necessary. I am very pleased

I keep coming back to Halm glass straws because they’re simply the best reusable option I’ve tried. I originally switched from plastic because of health concerns. I’ve tried metal straws, but some drinks ended up tasting off, and paper straws… don’t even get me started! These glass straws don’t affect flavor at all and come in fun colors, which is a nice bonus. Full honesty: I bought the colored ones after dropping a clear glass straw and shattering it on my tile floor. Not fun to clean up. Knock on wood, I haven’t dropped the colored straws yet, but I imagine the color really would make it easier to see the pieces if one ever breaks. That said, don’t let that scare you—these straws are actually pretty sturdy. I just have tile floors and gravity is undefeated. I use these for hot and cold drinks but be careful if you use them for hot drinks. The straw can heat up quickly so that is something to be aware of so you don’t hurt yourself. Also, be careful not to “shock” the straw. I.e. Hot to cold, cold to hot… I’ve included photos of the straws in a variety of cups so you can see their height. For reference, the large Stanley cup shown is 30 oz. The small mug is one of the standard “You are Here” Starbucks mugs. I hope these are helpful for you in your decision!

Glass straws, these are very nice and dishwasher safe, the only problem is have is I have a cup similar to a yeti and the straws are a tad to wide to fit thru the top of the cup, so I can't use them with the top on, other than that they are nice, very nice

I mainly use these for my Stanley cup however, I also use them for regular cups even though they look a little silly because they’re so tall I really like how thick these glass drawers are in the past I had issues with glass straws, breaking very easily and these are super thick glass and high-quality so it is worth it to spend the extra money

I bought these to use in my stainless steel tumbler. The difference in taste between using this and the plastic straw that came with the tumbler is crazy. It’s so much better with the glass straw. I also dropped my tumbler with one of these in it and it didn’t break so it seems pretty durable. The noise of the glass straw clanking against the stainless steel is kind of annoying but worth it for the improvement in taste.

Da ich den mitgelieferten Plastikstrohhalm meines Stanleys nicht mag habe ich mich über Amazon auf die Suche nach einem Glasstrohhalm gemacht. Da die bisherigen Bewertungen sehr gut waren und die Strohhalme auch noch in Deutschland hergestellt werden, habe ich mich für diese entschieden. Die mitgelieferte Reinigungsbürste macht einen hochwertigen Eindruck, geht aber etwas streng in den Strohhalm. Die Reinigung der Strohhalme in der Spülmaschine ist kein Problem. Ich lege diese immer oben in das Besteckfach. Ab und zu muss man sie nochmal mit Wasser nachspülen, was aber an meiner Spülmaschine liegt und nicht am Produkt. Ich nutze die Strohhalme seit fast einem Jahr und bin begeistert. Obwohl ich den ein oder anderen Strohhalm versehentlich schon mal etwas in der Spüle angeschlagen habe, sind diese noch komplett intakt. Super Qualität! Das Produkt kann ich absolut empfehlen, da ich die HALM Glasstrohhalme täglich nutze.

My main reason for buying these is that the manufacturer said that they can be cleaned in a dishwasher, and I’m happy to report that that works quite well. You have to get the angle right so that the dishwasher water goes into the straw, but most attempts have been successful. They’re also nice to drink out of and feel durable, so I’m very satisfied.
