Far better all rounder than the 18v version.
I've been using DeWalt for 15+ years and I honestly can't fault them. I've got a serious amount of DeWalt tools and they all work without issue. Since finding the 12v range has a hammer drill I had to try it. This drill combined with a 5amp battery is the stuff of legend. Great for driving, drilling and hammering! It'll easy turn my 25mm holesaw through steel JBs and enclosures and then drill 10mm holes through concrete. The chuck is smaller than the 18v XRP but with step down shanks and hex shanks it overcomes most issues. I then bought the 12v SDS and that's the icing on the cake. Nothing safe from being drilled now! It's far smaller and lighter than the 18v equivalent and given that I fly a lot the weight saving is amazing. The batteries are smaller too.
