Pomodoro Food Storage Vacuum Seal Containers with Automatic Vacuum Sealer Pump - Preserve Food Longer, Stackable, Airtight, Great for Marinating Meat & Food (5-Piece + Pump)

These containers help me preserve freshness of food for much longer, including for certain types of perishable canned foods. Though expensive, it was a hard search for me and I could't find any of the same type. It's a shame I can't get many of them for reasonable prices. I settled for 3 containers when I needed much more for different types of food. And it seems like these are the most effective airtight containers I've ever seen so far. By using the pump I was even able to keep beans eatable for up to 2-3 weeks, which I've previously though was unattainable. Similar scenario goes to corn, peas and pickles.Making salads became much easier for me. And with the aid of these containers it's becoming a habit.

Overall we love them: great vacuum seal for extended freshness, cleaning is a breeze, there is no odor retention or staining; and finally, their shape .... rectangles and squares make better use of space than round.What's not to love: they don't nest; purchase options are limited since they are sold in predetermined combos, some including a vacuum wand so if you need 2 of size X only, you're out of luck and will have to get them in a combo with Y or in a larger combo that includes another vacuum.If you need oven capabilities, Pomodoro might not be for you. We thought that was a deal breaker for us and ordered 2 other different brands (one type is great for freezer use but not great for fridge freshness storage, the other looks great on paper but is way to heavy).We finally decided that Pomodoros ARE SO GOOD at what they were designed for that hot/cold tolerance wasn't an issue and we ordered two more sets, extra vacuum wand and all.

These containers are excellent. The hard sides and hard lids maintain vacuum for weeks without issue. The key here, compared to other plastic vacuum containers, is the hard plastic used in the containers - it does not flex or bend in when creating a vacuum (even in the larger containers.)Another nice feature is the handheld rechargeable vacuum device. Note: If you have a foodsaver (or accessory hose attachment) with the round vacuum head (not the oval one) you can use that with these containers as well.The items are dishwasher safe (easily remove the white lid cap and silicon plug on the lid first.) The plastic does not absorb any of the food smells or stain from sauces. They are also microwave safe without the lid.Some results: Cut romaine lettuce remains fresh and crisp up to seven days. Washed, and patted dry, berries lasting up to two weeks. Cereal stored for 8 weeks in humid garage, as a test, still had vacuum that worked to seal container, even without latches being engaged, and the cereal was fresh and dry. Great for boat storage. Tomatoes on the vine lasted for 9 days compared to tomatoes on counter that lasted for four. All in all, a great investment to cut down on grocery spoilage.

One bit of advice. Make sure you clean the seals well before using. I didn’t and the vacuum lasted maybe 20 minutes. Then after washing them again in prep for returning them I pumped the vacuum and voila it staid sucked. Longest I have stored with out opening was 4 days with hot dog rolls. Still as fresh as the day I bought them. Hope they make some bowls a tad larger. Great buy. I liked them so much I bought another set, Careful with some fruits (Avacados) Use a baggie first because of the gas released. Increased life of a cut Avocado by 4 days.

Ademas de ser fácil de usar y funcionar muy bien, posee un hermosos diseño. Me habria gustado haberlo comprado antes.

I've had this item for about a month now and they are work great. I placed an sliced half avocado in one. I left it for about 3 weeks. The outside turned brown but it was fresh underneath that this layer of brown. Could not do that with out these. They kept the seal for 3 weeks before I opened them and was still going. The different sizes help. It would be good to have a couple of smaller sizes to fit used food in the fridge.I was skeptical about these with some of the revues but I am very happy with this product so far. I will update when/if they stop sealing to gauge durability. One thing to be careful of is the white cap that fits on the underside of the top. It looks like a regular cap and my wife threw one away. Be sure to let the family know what they are so you do lose them. It sill works fine without it but it may help down the road.

I'm not a leftover food person because of how everything spoils and it's a mental thing to me. Until I purchased these containers.Even My Home made Avocado spread that would only last 4 to 5 day, now last for over a month and still as fresh as the day I made it. I use these containers every day.

Tengo 6 meses de usar el producto. Pero la bomba se dañó. Quisiera contactar al vendedor para poder comprar solamente la bomba

J’ai fait venir 2 kits et la pompe du 2ème kit n’a jamais fonctionnée. La lumière allumait mais elle ne tirait pas l’air des contenants, donc produits inutiles. J’ai dû retourner tous les contenants avec la pompe ??? alors que je n’ai pas compris pourquoi qu’on n’échangeait pas seulement la pompe ??? Alors je me retrouve avec un manque de contenants pour conserver ma nourriture.J’aimerais faire revenir un autre kit mais en m’assurant que je n’aurai pas de problème cette fois-ci. De plus le montant a monté depuis mon dernier kit alors que ce n’est pas de ma faute si j’ai eu ce problème. Je pense que la compagnie devrait compenser pour ce problème.J’aimerais aussi savoir si on peut faire venir en plus du kit, quelques contenants en surplus, et si oui qu’elle est la façon de procéder ?Merci,ClairePoulin
