Allulose Sweetener, Powder, 2lb by Fancy Sweets

This is so good to use in baked goods and frostings. It doesn't have a bad aftertaste and tastes like sugar.

It mixes in much better and faster than most alternative sweeteners

Not a great substitute for powdered sugar. Still has a bit of grain in its texture. Not as sweet as powdered sugar. In orde.r to make it work in frosting had to add additional vanilla and some Swerve (which I was trying to avoid due to erythritol). Ended up using 2/3 this and 1/3 Swerve. I don’t think it was any more powdered than the monk fruit /Allulose blend I used to bake the cake.

It's not the cheapest "no calorie" Keto sweetener, but in my opinion, it has the best flavor and no weird aftertaste. Xylitol is another favorite of mine, but it's deadly to dogs, so I won't have it in my house. Allulose is the absolute best sweetener for Keto ice creams as it leaves the texture nice and creamy and scoopable, whereas other Keto sweeteners make ice creams as hard as a rock and crumbly. Allulose isn't quite as sweet as sugar, so you'll have to adjust your recipes accordingly, but overall, I think it's the best sugar substitute.

For some reason this particular brand of allulose didn't taste right to me. I ordered it when I couldn't get my first choice brand and my second choice brand was priced through the roof. So I tried this one. It didn't taste the same as the other brands I have tried. It tasted weird like a blend (not saying it was, but it sure tasted like it). Maybe it was just my taste buds? I tried it twice. Both times I had to pour my hot tea out. I couldn't deal with that extra little flavor that shouldn't have been there. Money down the drain. Oh well, back to my old brand which came back in, thank God. At least I tried...
