good purchase
Perfect for testing my RO system. Test takes about 3 minutes to complete. These strips test for all +2 metals, not individually, which is clearly written in the description. Happy with purchase and would buy again!

Seems good
Without a known heavy metal substance to test, I don't know if these work. LOL. So far, everything has tested negative, so I suppose all is well.

Will purchase again
Product received is just as advertised. Directions are simple to follow. It is important to run the dip time according to the water temperature. It made a difference in my testing. Overall very happy with purchase and would purchase again.

Unusable, useless, and a waste of money
I rarely see a product so eminently worthless. You are instructed to dunk the strip into a 20ml container (they don't provide one) and then wait for a color to appear. OK, I guess. Then when the color DOES appear, you're supposed to compare it to a color chart. In my case, it matched NONE of the colors. But even if it did match, then what? There's no guidance, no instructions, no suggested maximum, no apparent webpage to go for information. Even if it DID provide a modicum of information, it can't tell you which metal you've got, nor if you should worry. In short this is a useless product, a waste of money. Stay away!

Easy to use, great company
These test strips help confirm what we had already suspected with our water. I found the strips easy to use and match to the chart. I reached out to the company for recommendations on further testing. They were knowledgeable and very helpful.

Tested it in my lab. It works properly
I got them to check tap water in my house. The test showed nothing, so I was little curious whether it is true or not. So, I tested it in my lab, and it worked properly. And here are some tips if it is not for lab use, which means you don't need to know exact amount of metal. 1. It could be difficult to distinguish the color development if you are not familiar with these kind of tests. So, try two. Sample 1, metal free water (or that you believe). Sample 2, the water you want to test. Test both of them at the same time. And check the difference. If you can't tell the difference between two, then it will be fine. 2. Develop longer time. The procedure in the instruction is for quantitative measurement. But we want to have less than 10 ppb of metal in our water, which is the lowest sensitivity of this kit. So I recommend you develop little bit longer than 30 seconds. 1 or 2 min would be suffice. So, I am very happy with the result. I recommend this product.

testing metals in water
I did not just get this for testing water. but I would put an inexpensive piece of jewelry in water,..and I would swish the tester back and forth following the directions..and I noticed that for two of the different pieces of inexpensive jewelry ( the metals seemed questionable what it's made from) the tests were swished in water 20 seconds to 30 seconds ( following directions) and than I let the tester sit for two minutes...we are supposed to fold the tester in half behind the tester window which I did...(this allows also the water to flow through the window because it's thin enough to have water going through on either side during swishing /testing),. this was ease to read and understand...it gave quick results after two minutes),, the results I have included in the pictures..I decided not to try these ear-rings because of fear of the safety that there might be other metals that are mixed in or one has more than it should. the different metals it tests for are..(Cadmium, Cobalt, Copper, Iron (ferrous), Lead, Mercury, Nickel, Zinc and other +2 valence metals

Easy to Use
I needed a metal screening tool for storm water testing. These strips are easy to use and read. Very affordable. Remember - read the description -- it does not give you results for individual metals -- it's a total reading for all +2 metals. It works for my purposes.
