7Strand Crimping Tool

I didn't realize that these 7stand crimpers were made in china until receiving the package in the mail. First thought, oh nooo. Then I pulled them out of the package to check them out, and they are very stout, and have a long lasting feel to them(this is coming from someone who owns nothing besides Klein hand tools). They definitely need to be broken in when you first take them out of the package though. I recommend using a thin viscosity oil to lubricate the moving parts(I used shimano reel oil). I crimped several crimps to see how they worked, and they do a great job. Keep in mind this is my first crimping tool. The only downside that I see to this product, is the cutters. They are dull out of the package, and you will have to apply excessive force to cut through the seven strand wire. I would recommend this product, however if you can find a crimping tool that is made in the U.S.A, I would buy it instead. Please note: I bought this tool to rig up my Huddleston swimbaits, and still haven't field tested any of the crimps I've made. So I can't vouch for how well the crimp will actually hold up in real life conditions. Hope this helps you out.

Very easy to use and works good. Makes a perfect crimp and have not had any wire pull out of sleeves.

Used to crimp metal sleeves in order to hang up artwork and heavy objects with nylon coated stainless steel line. Very easy to use but some times a mallet is needed to ensure a good crimp
