Helpful and easy to use but not perfect.
We have horses and a long circular driveway that just gets yucky. Sweeping is a major task, so when I found this device I had to try it. Upon first opening the box it was very simple to assemble. Took 5 minutes. But I noticed the brushes and sweepers are very flimsy. I immediately wondered why they didn't use stiffer bristles and worried how that would effect performance. It certainly does after the performance, because this sweeper can't really pick up anything heavy, like pieces of gravel or pebbles. It does wonderful with grass clippings, tree buds, probably will do great for leaves, and coarse dirt. It had a really hard time getting the fine dirt and sand that are on our driveway from a construction project. We'll still have to sweep those by hand. It also leaves a thin trail of dust everywhere it goes, so it cannot quite pick up everything. The main brush just skims the ground, so any time there is a divot or uneven surface it doesn't get down into it well. It does wonderfully on flat surfaces, though! Here are some pros and cons: Pros: Super easy to use. Pushes easily, dumps easily. Easy peasy. Gets a LOT on the first pass, but you'll probably want to do more than one pass. It's fabulous at pulling dirt out of edges and corners. Better than a regular broom. It's just easy! Easy to use, gets most everything up. We definitely will use this frequently even while it doesn't quite get everything. It's quick! It swept the center of my barn aisle in less than five minutes. So much less work than manually sweeping. It creates less dust than manually sweeping. Cons: It's bulky so of course maneuvering it on turns is tough. It also leaves a trail on turns because the small sweepers are on the front and the main sweeper is in the back. I started using it in straight lines to avoid having to come back and grab what it would leave on tight turns It can pick up a lot of dirt and dust, but doesn't get all the finest dirt no matter how many times you go over it. It's definitely better with coarser and lightweight stuff. It could pick up hay but you have to open it frequently because the hay gets caught in the bristles often. It needs to be dumped nearly every other pass. This will get annoying if you have to walk far to dump it. I ended up getting a wheelbarrow to dump it into and then it was super simple. If there are stones or heavy items that it can't pick up, it will push them along and leave a dirty trail. It also leaves a dirt trail when full. So checking underneath and emptying regularly became a necessity. I found that I could push it off the side of my driveway to release anything it was dragging along. Tipping it forward helped give me more time between needing to empty it. Sometimes the front brushes fall off when you tip it forward, though. It works best on perfectly flat surfaces. I could only sweep the middle of my barn because the 3/4th inch mats in the center made it so it could not get the sides. I got quite dusty while walking behind it for 45 minutes. That fine dust that I was trying to pick up settled all over me. I don't think it would be so bad if I were picking up less dusty material. The biggest con to me is that the bristles are not stiff enough to pick up gravel or get fine dust. My barn is super dusty and as you can see my driveway is as well. It did about 3/4ths of the job but just couldn't get quite everything to leave it perfectly clean. I will take my shop vac out after doing the barn, as I really want to get rid of the dust when I clean. Overall, I like this thing. I will definitely find it handly throughout the year and for quick sweeps of the barn, driveway, and patio. It won't deep clean for me, but it helps a LOT and it takes almost no physical effort. Worth the buy!

It Works!
Wow, well packaged, easy to assemble (No Tools Required) and it really works well, picked up lose asphalt off of my Driveway as well as leaves & lose material. Used in shop which is what I purchased it for, NO DUST spread everywhere like when I use a push broom. Fills large storage container very well, great purchase.

creates a lot of dust from side brooms but otherwise great product
i got the 70/20 commercial one and its nice well built just used it to clean part if my 60x96 shop. my tractor brings in loads of sand when its wet and cleaning is a constant task. the side brooms create a LOT of dust but it does a really good job. wont be using the side brooms inside again. cleaning just a portion of the tractor bay created 4 full bins in a few passes.

Works Works Works
our janitorial company got a huge contract for us. It is a 500,000 sqft distribution center with parking lot. This is our first big gig. We prefer less labor, and more machines to do work. But cost effective. I did a lot of research on equipment for the various tasks we had to accomplish. One is the sidewalk around the building, and another is under machinery. I saw these units and decided to try the least expensive. This Karcher S-4. No motor. Just gears that turn when you push it. Let us see what it can do. Yes, with a lot of dust it will put some of it into the air. So a dust mask maybe needed. But does it work. YES IT DOES. I clean the parking lot too. Pickups the cigarette butts, small papers/plastic, etc. Cleaned up the parking lot, sidewalk very quickly. PRO--inexpensive, no motors to fix, no electric, super easy to operate, nothing to break, works well CON--in a high dust area will toss some into the air HIGHLY RECOMMEND--We may purchase another one, and try a upgraded version

Your kids will fight over it and you will have to sweep in the dark when they’re sleeping
I bought this sweeper to clean up around the pool we are currently having built in hopes that it will help keep debris out of the pool. That’s actually a lie, the real reason I bought this sweeper is because my parents have one and as soon as I saw theirs I knew I needed one. The above reason was just the excuse I used on my wife to justify the purchase. I will start by saying that this sweeper does not replace any tools. You’re still going to need your push broom, you’re still going to need your angle broom, you’re still going to need your blower, and you’re probably still going to need your dustpan. That being said, this is an excellent companion for yard cleanup that will make sweeping your hard surfaces quicker and you might even have a little bit of fun doing it. My property is not huge, but it offers an assortment of surfaces that this sweeper was able to make quick work of. I have a large concrete driveway, sanded concrete pool decking, a flagstone patio and front walk, and an artificial turf back lawn. This sweeper tackled everything I threw its way with relative ease and with very little learning curve. Here are a few notes/suggestions that I’ve come up with for use on different surfaces: -On the flagstone I found that multiple passes were necessary to get all debris, but compared to a push broom it was very quick and easy. -For my artificial turf I found it necessary to remove the front horizontal brushes. With the front brushes on it was difficult to maneuver and I was concerned that it might snap the belts that turn them. -For wet leaves you will need to make several passes -The sweeper does not sweep in reverse so you need your angle broom or blower to move debris out into areas where you can make a full pass -For dirt or sand you will want to hit the debris with the front brushes to stir it up/loosen it up to allow the rear brush wheel to pick it up. Overall this tool is completely unnecessary but if you have the money to buy it and room to store it, I highly recommend it. It makes cleaning fun and easy and if your kids are like mine they will fight over who gets to use it. I have only used it for one day so I can’t speak to reliability, but my parents have had the previous model for several years and it’s still in prefect working condition with regular use. I anticipate ours will last a long time as well.

Good for light cleanup, but not if you are a perfectionist
I purchased this with the goal of clearing acorns and oak tree "helicopter" seed pods from my driveway and sidewalks, as well as clearing grass clippings and leaves that blow in to my garage. Overall, the product is certainly lightweight and easy to use, but falls short in several key ways. 1. You have to consider how you want to set your path when picking up materials. You cannot sweep this back-and-forth, and cannot clear corners easily. Tilting the unit back on the rear wheels to move it doesn't stop the rear sweeper, and it can often dump collected materials out the back, making you have to re-sweep the area again. 2. This may work great for a woodshop with fine-grained dust and wood shavings, but clumps of leaves, grass clippings, etc. don't necessarily sweep as well requiring multiple passes. twigs, especially, can be a challenge. 3. The bin fills quickly, requiring frequent emptying. The design also tends to collect material at the back of the bin, so some of it falls out when you lift the bin to empty it. I've found myself having to tip the unit on the front wheel/brushes first (or simply hold it in the air, front-down position), before trying to remove and empty it. The design is also a bit challenged if you are going uphill or downhill trying to pick up material. 4. I've also had the issue with the front brushes coming off - the design could be improved with a better locking mechanism on those brushes. This works "good enough" for my needs to clear the bulk of the materials on my driveway. But if you are bit more of a perfectionist and wanting a completely clear and clean floor/driveway, you may be disappointed and/or finding yourself having to both make multiple passes and/or use a more traditional broom to clear corner areas first, or spread "piles" of material a bit to make it easier to pick up.

Performed beyond all expectations, in an austere environment!
I purchased this for the 4th of July event cleanup after manually completing this task for the past several years. Previously, we would have a group of volunteers, armed with push brooms, leaf blowers, etc. The task would take quite some time and involve a bit of sweat. This year, I saw this product and thought with this year's 4th of July event being planned larger than previous years, I would try something else for a change. I am sure happy I did. I'll tell you, after the event had concluded, and the volunteers has amassed, broom sticks and power tools in hand, I stepped up with my bright shiny new "Street sweeper" as everyone called it, and asked the group to watch and see how this will do. I took off across the fireworks debris area in a straight line, focusing in front of me, being led by a flashlight from one of the volunteers and when arriving at the distant end, turned to see the flashlight shine across the path I just walked and saw that the path was unbelievable clear. I was sure it would pick up some stuff and had anticipated needing several passes due to the sheer amount of debris, from motor shell cubes to large pieces of paper from large show cakes. The fine debris, the fireworks granuals that cover the ground after a large show, falls to the ground was swept up, again to my amazement. I looked at the group of volunteers, who at this time had ALL laid their tools and brooms into the ground and lined up to "Take turns" pushing this across the debris field. We were amazed at the ability to grab small papers and plastic from 10 large confetti blasters (That filled the bin about 4 times by itself, lol). Just amazed, not only at the performance, but also that days later, I am receiving calls from volunteers, asking about the street sweeper and where to get one. Not sure if this ended up being the star of the show, or the fireworks, but safe to say it's a close tie. Very happy with the performance and by the way, we finished the cleanup in apx 20 minutes, with minimal effort as compared to earlier years, without this very cool street sweeper. The following day, I had several comments about how the cleanup thus year had cleaned far more debris than previous years.

Not Durable
I bought the Karcher S6 Twin for my shop. After 2 weeks of using it one i hit a little 1/2 inch bump where some concrete had settled and one of the side sweepers cracked off. The screw holding it together is not threaded deep enough for any real support. I contacted Karcher and they said they would send out another part and id have it within 7-10 days. after 14 days of not hearing anything i called them and they said it was on back order and it hadnt shipped yet, but hopefully it would ship out within a week. Very unhappy with this product. I had hoped it would be a big problem solver and save time with a 8k sq/ft garage. even when it was working properly it had a hard time picking up larger pebbles on the ground, and the wheels would get stuck on the smallest of items. It did do a pretty good job cleaning up the dust. So if you have a relatively clean garage and a very level floor it might work well for you. but i would not reccomend this product

Great purchase of the year.
I use this for sweeping up my large car park and have found it the best purchase bye far this year. I don’t need to plug it in and it picks up stones, twigs and stones easy.

Wasn’t Expecting That…
I work in a warehouse, doors opening and closing, vehicles in and out year round, so the dust, grit, and debris can get out of hand very quick. A section of the floor is very rough, badly pockmarked, that using a broom without a sweeping compound you’re in a dust bowl and with compound an absolute slog pushing it across and out of all the holes. I’d spent quite a bit of time looking for just about anything to help that I eventually ended up here. Needless to say, I bought it instantly. Personally, I’d never seen a sweeper like this before. No power, manually operated, just push it like a lawnmower. I was pretty excited to try it and see how it would do in this environment. Now I bought it knowing it says “Not For Commercial Use” “Residential Use Only”, but at this price point, I wanted to give it a shot. Unboxing and assembly is straight forward, there aren’t a lot of pieces to have to worry about. It works best in long lines, smooth curves, and soft corners. Sharp turns you’ll see that it leaves some stuff behind, but you can just straighten out and run over the pile what was left. I pushed it all over the warehouse, and I was actually shocked at the ease with which it picked everything up. If you haven’t seen or used one before, it’s like you’re walking PAC-MAN. The two front brushes lay well into the ground, not just lightly skimming the surface. And they do a great job at kicking debris into its path and the spiraled brush underneath scoops it into the hopper. It picked up decent sized wood chips, wood splinters, nuts, bolts, screws, cardboard, leaves, easily. And it does a better than expected job on very fine dust. Going up and down the aisles was great because the brushes get right under the shelves and in just 2 passes each aisles is done. Now I can’t think of any cons really, except that this is for a very specific type of task, and it’s something you’ve either wished you had or it’s not even a thought. Having used it around a warehouse, we are still going to be sweeping with compound, however, it’ll be done a lot less often. Using this at a home, on sidewalks, walkways or storefronts to pick up leaves, dirt, sand, etc would certainly make the job far more easier if that’s something you were looking for.
