Looks great, easy setup, no heat issues as it sits right under my 3 fan GPU sucking the heat from it and my front fan bringing in cold air plus it has a great quality heatsink attached to it help disapate heat from it, solid internet speed and no issues so time will tell seams solid for gaming my fps are stable and no heat increase from my GPU TP link has great driver support as well.

It's a good card, but you should install the latest drivers after receiving it, especially if you see random disconnects. The new drivers might just fix it. Details: I was initially very disappointed with this card. I purchased two of them, and both of them would frequently disconnect while running on windows 10 machines. Neither machine had problems when using their onboard LAN. Both machines were fine when transferring large files to each other's shared drives at 10gb speed, but internet speed tests would make them crash, even though our modem can only do 1gb. I assumed that the cards were both dead on arrival, possibly due to overheating. I was wrong. After I contacted TP Link, they put me in touch with a person who identified themselves as a Senior Engineer, and asked me to install a "Beta Driver". That made the connection much more stable. With the new driver, it would only disconnect very rarely when downloading a game from steam, but other use cases, like speed tests, were now stable. A few more months have passed, and now it no longer disconnects, even when downloading games from steam. I don't know if Microsoft patched something, or Steam patched something, but the problems have stopped with now further driver changes. The beta driver that helped me was: beta/2022/202211/20221102/win11.zip The newest windows driver on their site is: TX401(UN)_V1_221202_Windows So it looks like they may have now released that beta driver, or an even newer version, so you can get it without chatting with support for an hour. One final note: I read elsewhere that disabling 'Recv Segment Coalescing' for IPv4 and IPv6 could make cards that use a Marvel Aqtion 10g chip like this one more stable. I don't know if this would help because by the time I learned about it, my card was stable both with this feature on and off, and having it on seems like it might make downloads faster, so I left it on.

I bought TP-Link's 10gbe (TX401) card on sale after having Google Fiber 8gbit internet installed at my house. I also have a TP-Link AX16000 router, and multiple TP-Link switches. Until this card, I had nothing but great things to say about the value or 'bang for buck' of their products. Still no major issues with their brand, just steer clear of this card. My Win11 gaming machine kept randomly dropping connection under various load. Sometimes 1gbps, sometimes 6gbps. I didn't try it in my NAS so I can't comment. I had an extra Intel X540-T2 in my stash so I decided to put that in and give it a rip. Works flawlessly so I am returning this TP-Link 10gbe card. I tried various cables, drivers, settings, and all sorts of stuff to try to get it to work. Ultimately if it drops at random, it's useless. I was hoping to purchase a few more of these for our other machines in the house to remove my reliance on eBay 'Genuine' Intel cards. Other interesting behavior: it gets really, really hot. I suppose that's not surprising but I am concerned it doesn't have a fan on it to keep itself cool. I rigged up a 140mm fan near it and that seemed to cool it down quite a bit, but it didn't solve my issues. Aside from random drops, the performance copying files from my NAS was incredibly strange. My NAS also has an Intel X540-T2 and using my motherboard's built-in 2.5gbe (also Intel) NIC, I was able to get ~260-270MBps copying files over SMB. The TP-Link was all over the place: sometimes 10MBps, sometimes 200MBps. At random it seemed to do 800MBps with no real reason I could determine. This was between two Samsung 980 Pros on either end, so no caching/overhead shenanigans in theory. I'd be happy with this product if it was simply plug and play and didn't drop connection - even if it couldn't actually handle 10gbit sustained. I rarely see over 3-4gbit with Google Fiber (real world, not speed test) and my NAS drives top out at just under 900MBps anyway.

This card works great on an older desktop Dell. Had to download the drivers from TP-Link, but no problem. This is connected to my Netgear 10gb switch, which is connected to my Synology 10gb port. Also I have the new TP-link BE-19000 router that has 2 10gb ports. The whole system just rips. 10gb file transfers take seconds now. The white cable is my PC. Two green lights means 10gb.

My six-year-old PC had an Ethernet port on the motherboard. After upgrading to fiber internet, I was only getting speeds of about 700 Mbps. Since the router is in the garage and my workstation is on the second floor, I needed an upgrade. The TP-Link card I chose was very easy to install; I used the installation CD (I still have an external CD drive). Now, my internet speed has more than doubled. However, due to the distance from the router, I can't reach the full 2000 Mbps that I'm paying for. Good price, solid card.

I ordered a couple of these cards to upgrade a couple of older PCs and have been very pleased with the increased file transfer speeds within my home network from/to my NAS. Both PCs were minitowers with an open PCIe slot and I also maxed out the RAM in each system even though that was not necessary. Note: this will NOT speed up your Internet connection and is only of value if your local intranet is already capable of 10G speeds. If not, you will need to upgrade to 10G routers, CAT6A cable, etc. before you will see any measurable differences. Hopefully, this review was helpful to you.

I see a lot of people complaining about the intermittent network loss issues with this adapter. I also had this issue as well but only within the first 30 seconds of starting my PC up (Win10). This can easily be resolved by going to the "Device Manager" program in Windows and disabling the checkbox that says "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". The actual device was under "Network Adapters" -> and labeled as "Marvell FastLinQ Edge 10Gbit Network Adapter". Since disabling this I have had 0 issues with this adapter whatsoever and easily get over 2Gbps during speedtests. Rating this as 4 out of 5 starts though as I am sure most users wouldn't know how to fix this issue themselves.

Works perfectly! I'm on 8GB google fiber, consistently getting 7+ Gbps now.

keep crashing during heavy usage, skip this and spend more for intel x550.

Acabo de instalarla en dos PCs y las conecté directamente (sin switch ni ruteador) una a la otra con un cable cat8 de 10 metros que compré aquí mismo en Amazon. Mi necesidad de esta tarjeta es poder intercambiar archivos a alta velocidad entre ambas computadoras. No compré aún un switch de 10Gbps porque son caros y de momento no tengo más equipos a esta velocidad. Por ahí ví algunos comentarios que dicen que la velocidad no es la prometida. Estoy seguro de que o no estaban usando un cable calificado, o están tratando de alcanzar la velocidad con un switch/ruteador que no admite esta velocidad. Todo parece estar funcionando perfectamente, los drivers los identificó Windows Update por lo que no tuve que instalar nada de Asus. Adjunto una foto de una transferencia que hice de prueba de un archivo muy grande de una PC a la otra, la cuál muestra una velocidad completamente estable y a la velocidad esperada. Se copió rapidísimo. Muy satisfecho de momento. :-)

I have ordered 3 of these 10gbps cards. One of them was a dud and died after using it for a few days. They are cheap though and get good performance so 5 stars

This is Windows 11 compatible, which is the main reason I bought it, but it performs very nicely, connects to my 10Gb hub just fine and seems to get near its rated speed. There's always some overhead, but this is holding up its end nicely so far. It is a bit pricey, not sure why 10Gb kit is still so expensive compared to plain old gigabit stuff.
