A true high quality ski sock at a really great price
I ski in the West 40 - 50 days/year and own more than 25 pairs of ski socks, some wool and some non-natural fibers. After skiing on these Merino wool blend socks for three days, I would say they are as high quality as any of my other ski socks, which include Smartwool, Stance, Wigwam, Burton, Darn Tough and other mainline brands. They are quite tall, reaching fully up to my knee, and they have a lot of compression and seem very unlikely to slip down my leg. Despite the description referring to targeted cushioning, I would consider them 'full cushion' socks as they are reasonably thick everywhere and don't really have any portions of the sock that seem materially thinner than any other part of the sock. (They are not thick in some places and thin in other places like some ski socks.) The material that runs along the shin seems slightly different (and slightly less thick) than the rest of the sock. This may make them more resistant to wear under the constant back and forth pressure the shin area of the sock encounters during skiing (just a guess), but for me it did not affect the comfort of the sock even under aggressive skiing. I bought the Camo color and find that design very attractive in all of the three colors. In the three pack, they are less than $10/pair, which is about a third of the cost of Smartwool's ski socks. Although neither the packaging nor the text on the Amazon page lists the percentage of wool in the sock, there is one photo that indicates the socks are 31% Merino wool. While that is similar to the Merino content of many wool ski socks and less than the Merino content of a few others, I found these Hylaea socks soft and quite warm. If I didn't already own way more socks than I will ever need, I would buy three more pairs.

Warm, comfortable well-made and good value for a ski sock
For inexpensive wool socks these have worked better than my expensive smartwool socks for keeping my feet warm while skiing and staying up on my calves without sliding down. They seem pretty well made and the padding on the shin is not too thick so I dont notice it under my boots. They are about as thin as my other ski socks which is critical for a tight boot fit.

Well made ski sock but offer almost no shin padding as advertised.
These socks are extremely comfortable. I have worn them about 10 times skiing and they keep their shape and do not stretch out. I might add, they keep my feet nice and warm. My main reason for ordering these socks was because they advertise that they had a targeted padding on the front shin. They have almost no padding on the front shin area. The padding consists of maybe two layers of sock material. Otherwise, than that, I wholeheartedly recommend this sock and will continue to use them. But like I said prior, they offer almost no padding for the front shin area while skiing.

Tall and Warm
Held up great through two hunting seasons so far and they are very warm. They hug your feet and stay up really well. Not very thick but they do the job.

Excellent Ski Socks for Beginners
First-time skier and these were excellent. My shins never hurt at all, and my feet stayed warm and dry the entire day. The fit was supportive but not too tight, nothing like the compression socks I wear for work that cut off circulation. Super comfortable and made a bigger difference than I expected. Would definitely buy again.

Cozy and Warm
These socks are great under snow boots or dress boots when it’s cold. I have washed and line dried these several times I loved that I could order size. They fit really well and my feet stayed dry and warm.

My experience with the Merino Wool Ski Socks during our winter adventure in Iceland was a mixed one. While they have several positive attributes, there's a notable drawback to consider. Let's start with the positive aspects. These socks come in the perfect size, providing a snug and comfortable fit. The quality of the materials used is commendable, and they did an excellent job of keeping our feet warm in the Icelandic cold without causing excess sweat. However, there's a caveat to consider. The socks have a somewhat compressive quality, which can be beneficial for some, but the issue arises with the tightness around the knee area. This tightness under the knee occasionally caused discomfort and even pain. It's worth noting that this problem wasn't isolated to just one user; my teenager also experienced the same discomfort. In summary, the Merino Wool Ski Socks offer some positive features such as sizing, comfort, quality, and warmth. However, the tightness around the knee area can be a concern for some users, leading to occasional discomfort.
