Nice stand for the money
I hesitated to by this because of some of the fitment issues some other buyers reported. But looking at the alternatives that were 2 or 3 times the price I decided to take a chance. Well thankfully I had no issues. The stand fit as advertised and I was very happy with my purchase. The engine in the photos is a late model 5.7 hemi out of 2011 Ram truck. The wheel kit for this stand, I thought was way too expensive. I decided to go a different route and sacrifice one of my $7 furniture dollies for the wheels and use some scrap aluminum I had laying around.

It can Handle the weight.
Bolted right up to a 6.0 LS , (LQ4). It has threads built into the bottom of the frame to put casters on it so you have to order those separate.the stand feels sturdy, it rolls around nicely and doesn't have any flex with the fully assembled engine on it. The nuts welded to the bottom support bar is also a nice bonus to store the left over bolts.

Very sturdy design but with manufacturing flaws
I had trouble locating casters to use with this engine cradle as the ones listed with the cradle are way to expensive. Finally found ones that worked from another Amazon vendor.Had problems with the cradle when I lowered my old engine onto it. The flat surfaces that bolt to the motor mount bosses are not spaced properly. I got the left (drivers) side bolts in with a little cursing, but only one on the right side would line up and only after I used a pry bar to pull it away from the side of the block enough to start the bolt - NOWAY was the other one going to line up!Next and BIGGEST problem if that the holes drilled in the rear plates that attach to the rear bell housing face are NOT DRILL IN THE RIGHT PLACE!!! With the block's dowel pins located into the plate only the left side one could be wiggled into alignment enough so I could install the bolt. The right hand side is drilled off by at least 3/8 of an inch and the bolt is never going to fit.Seems like the whole right side frame was built wrong

It works great for long term storage
It’s a little chincy, but if your just expecting it to hold the engine up for storage this will work perfectly. You could maybe spin the engine with the starter, but there’s no way I’d run it on here.

Not impressed Bring a crow bar and hammer.
I would expect alot better out of a company that is geared around performance. I assembled the engine cradle but had to take 1 side apart to mount it on the engine. I place the second side on at the bell housing flange and then had to hit with a dead blow hammer to make it line up with the motor mount holes. Then i bolted the cross brace back in place.Item will not work with with manifolds or the thin metal plate that goes between the trans/engine. on the motor so the flywheel had to be removed to be able to use engine cradle just to store a motor. Next time i will use a different brand engine dolly that will work no matter the configuration even with motor/trans assembled together.

It works...
The stand really is a piece of garbage... for the money it cost, I even got the heavy duty one. Flimsy and someone needs to check their bending jigs more often to assure the quality is better. But once fighting with it to get it bolter to my more is definitely does the job for storage or transport.

Definitely not worth the price
It was over priced $90.00- no bolts, no casters! If you send back you have to pay a restocking charge. Bought one at Princess Auto came with all bolts, heavy duty casters rated for a Big Block Chevy ( 1000 lbs) and paid $49.90 Canadian on sale

Good enough
This is a "you get what you pay for" it gets the job done, but it's very light. There are definitely better cradles out there if you're gonna use it continuously or if you're gonna use it in an area where the elements will get to it.

Solid
It did take my Chev 427 engine took a little finagle to fit / line up to bolt holes on the frame to engine. One of the bolt storage nuts on the frame had been crossed at some point during manufacturing. It works.

Does the job
For the price it does the job. It doesn't look strong but it's good enough for an SBC. I might weld up some support brackets if I plan to use it a lot or on a heavier engine
