Is this water based? If used in straightened hair, will it revert the curls?

The product is not water base. These is meant to enhance and define your curls, If you hair has been straightened it may not reverse it. It is always good to Consult with your hair dresser.

will it work with coarse hair ? I have a 4c hair

So does my daughter and it works on her hair. I tried the Cantu cream dressing first, but it was too light and creamy.

Will this work for facial hair?

I think that this pomade will work well on curly coarse facial hair. It would depend upon whether or not you like the fragrance or not. Four ounces is a lot for this product. It will last you forever.

Does this work on regular hair or only natural (African American ) hair ?

This is for any hair type despite them marketing it more towards a product to use mostly for African-American hair. My daughter is Hispanic and I use it on her wavy hair and it works great
