This is the flagpole light I have been searching for
My old flagpole light quit working and the company is no longer in business. I tried a new light that I bought off Amazon and it was woefully inadequate. This Suntech light is perfect. Stays lit all night and is still working at sunrise, Great purchase

very good over all quality
So far, I am happy with the operation. It does dim after the long hours of darkness I have in my part of the country this time of year, but it has not shut off, even on days when it receives less sunlight from cloudiness.

Helpful Info to keep your light lasting
This is the 3rd type of solar power flag pole light I’ve had. All from different manufactures. The 1st light lasted for about 4 years. The 2nd light lasted for only 13 months. They both quit working due to moisture corrosion inside the light. I believe that the moister from the air and not from the rain, caused the corrosion. Of the 3 lights I had/have, this one is brighter. It also has a higher storage capacity battery to keep the light shining longer. After it arrived on time and undamaged (Thanks), I charged the batteries. I then placed the lighted solar light in a darken room. After 10 hours of continuous lighting it was still shining brightly (impressive) I call it quits. To help keep the air moister out of this unit, I scotched taped around the 3 battery covers. With a wider tape (package) I loosely taped around the on/off button. Ensure the light button is pressed to the On position first before taping over. Where the 2 halves of the light are assembled, I used silicone chalking to seal the small gap between the 2 halves to help keep out the moisture. Hopefully this might keep the solar light working until my own light is out. Overall, I am pleased with this purchase.

I bought one of these lights many years ago and it worked great. Year before last I needed another one for a different flag pole. A local store had one that "looked" similar so I bought it. After a year it failed to light up like before. Took it down and charged the odd sized battery and it worked a few days. So I took the one off my old flag pole to check the brand and saw it was Sunnytech. With a record that the old one had that was what I wanted. Checked Amazon and ordered a new one. I could not be more pleased with the product. Easy to install, shines bright.

Reliable, rugged, so maintenance free, that I rarely think about it.
After dark, tonight, I was looking down at a dark valley that stretches before our home. It was during that moment that I noticed our flagpole light, faithfully shining on our Old Faithful flag.It was then that I wondered just how long has that been up there, and still working perfectly. Coming over to Amazon and reviewing my past order page, I was amazed to find I ordered it nearly four years ago! It’s now endured four cold and snowy, northern Michigan winters, high winds and driving rain and no problems that I’ve noted. My wake/sleep cycle is different than most, with it not being uncommon for me to be awake at 4:00 AM. I’ve never looked out and seen the lights out. I don’t think I will ever get up before dawn to see if the lights last the night. THAT is simply not in my nature.Let me say a word about the environment it works in. The pole is mounted near the crest of a ridge that faces southwest. The prevailing winds come from the southwest. Being high above the valley, winds accelerate as they blow up a hill. So we have one of the most brutal wind conditions you can imagine. No problem for the light. In winter, we are in a lake-effect snow band from Lake Michigan, with yearly average snowfall of about 110”. Our record is 143”. So snow can be a problem if it is a wet snow, falling in low-wind conditions. Snow will then accumulate on top of the solar cells. I’ve observed 8”-10” inches on it at times, and of course that effects the charging. So occasionally there will be little or no light for an evening or two until the snow melts, but that’s hardly the fault of the light.Lastly, the pole is not located where the light will get a full day of sun to charge the batteries. There are 40’ trees to the east and west, so it only gets direct sun for part of the day. Still, in that situation, it seems that the available light is enough, even on overcast days, to keep the batteries charged. If this light became damaged in some way, I would not hesitate to replace it with the same model. If you found my review helpful, please tap the “helpful” button.
