quality
Very nice quality. It is not easy to find a long fiber nice quality sphagnum moss. I wanted the best quality as a media for my orchids. After much research I decided on this product. Nice clean quality. Small bag but I was able to repot 7 orchid plants with little to spare. I will be purchasing again to use as top layer on my other houseplants and succulents to bring the ph down on these. Highly recommend

Safe and a variety of uses!
Purchased this moss to use in my T. Seledonia enclosures to help with moisture. I appreciate that it doesn't have dyes as they can be toxic to spiders. Great variety of shapes and sizes. Can be easily crumbled into "leaf litter" and great for filling in any gaps in cork bark.

Falls short on quantity, quality, and color; wasn’t suitable for making kokedama
I was underwhelmed by this sphagnum moss; I did not realize when I bought it how much variance there is in quality from one brand to the next. This was stringy, the fibers short, and the color of bleached out hay. It had clearly been dead for a very, very long time. Doesn’t rehydrate nicely and looks downright bad. Moreover, this came in a small zip lock bag. Given the price and the time (weeks!) it took to arrive, I expected something better and more of it. Disappointed with this purchase, I decided not to order any more sphagnum moss online until I figured out a bit more about assessing moss quality. I went to my local garden store and got a 7 liter bale of long-fiber sphagnum moss for $5.95!! The bale from my local garden center is exactly what I had imagined. Natural green, can be easily shaped, and holds moisture well. Smells far fresher, too. The price on Josh’s Frogs product should be lower.

Decent
I’m very satisfied so far with this purchase. The bag is small but once you use as directed, it expands. It was fair in size. I was able to use less than half the bag for the project I started. My plants love it! Fair price as well compared to other brands and sizes. I would definitely purchase again if needed. It saved me a trip to my local pet store where I would probably have to search for a sales associate to get it for me and in turn get bombarded with a bunch of questions.

Good stuff!
It’s a densely-packed amount of product — you could probably propagate 20+ plants with this. I bought it for my staghorn fern and ended up using more to rehab a monstera cutting. It looks like I haven’t used any at all. Nice, long strings of product to twirl around roots and wet sticks and whatever else you want. Great experience. Also came a week earlier than expected.

Disappointed
I'm very disappointed!!! This bag had so many sticks and clumps of sticks. My leopard gecko has a thin underbelly. He can't be crawling around across sharp sticks. Very disappointed.

Fresh!
I bought this for use for my orchid mixes & the quality seems really good! I think some of the moss spores were still alive because it looks like some of it is reviving! Hopefully I will be able to use it to start my own culture of live moss!

Quality is not high enough for a vivarium
Lots of large sticks and miscellaneous foreign plant matter that could harm a small animal. I would not recommend this product to anyone that requires a higher quality of moss for use with animals. I will say that I received this item quickly and the packaging is professional.

This bag size perfect!
Use this for my Stag Horn Fern & didn't want to buy a huge bag from the garden centre when I only needed a little bit. This is perfect.
