This is a very good smart bulb, but potential buyers should know about one key detail. The Good: - Setup is a breeze using the Tapo app. - The lighting itself is top-notch—bright, great colour accuracy, and a wide temperature range. - The connection has been rock-solid and reliable. - Basic Alexa voice commands work flawlessly. The Downside: The functionality within Alexa is limited. The official Tapo skill does not support the advanced modes, scenes, or effects that you can access through the Tapo app itself. Verdict: It's an excellent piece of hardware that I'd still recommend. However, if your main goal is to control all its fancy features with your voice, you might be a little disappointed.

This Tapo bulb impressed me from the start. Setup was effortless through the Tapo app and paired instantly with Alexa. The brightness is excellent more than enough to light a medium-sized room and colours are vibrant without looking artificial. Definately worth getting into the tapo ecosystem over phillips with the other items available I’ve set it on a timer to come on gradually in the mornings, and it works every time without delay. The energy monitoring feature is a nice bonus too. The integration with Matter means it’ll work across platforms if I ever switch ecosystems. For the price, it’s outstanding value and performs just as well as Philips Hue bulbs I’ve owned previously.

I got this discounted and so far I'm happy with the Tapo L535B. Overall it's a solid smart bulb with great features for everyday use. Being able to control it from the mobile app and devices like Alexa is a game changer. No need for physical timer plugs anymore! The app was very easy to set up, connecting to Wi-Fi in minutes with clear guided steps. Everyday controls like dimming are intuitive. The colour options are fantastic, offering millions of vibrant hues and colour temperatures for any mood. Party mode is useful for quick effects, though more pattern and speed options would improve it. I would have preferred a brighter bulb over 1500 lumens (100W equivalent), but Tapo doesn't offer one yet. This means it may struggle with larger rooms but ideal for smaller rooms or alongside multiple bulbs.

I bought this lightbulb to replace a dim little 4.5w one, and wow has it made a difference! It’s super bright, which is great when I’d like to get some work done. If I don’t want it so bright, for example when watching videos on my projector, I simply set the brightness to 20%, or even 1%. If I fancy a bit of red, blue or green? I got that. If I am bored of my 4500k white light? Well I can just change it down to a 2500k or up to I believe 6500k. All very easily controlled using the Tapo app, where you can also set up automations, control remotely, and set up voice controls with Siri on my phone. Recently a huge life hack has been setting it to automatically come on at 7am or 9am for when I get up, which makes me feel much more awake in the mornings. Great product for the money.
