Q: Can I use it as a chopping board?

I wouldn't recommend using it as a chopping board. It's not considered food safe, as it is. If you were to clean it good, and than seal it with a food safe oil, than maybe you could use it to serve food, but not chop it. The bark does come off easily, and chopping the wood, would make any food you chop on it not safe.

Q: Did anyone experience these popping and cracking?

No popping or cracking or splitting at all. I bought mine years ago. I oiled two and left two natural. All four are still gorgeous.

Q: Do these have pitch in them? Are they sticky anywhere?

No pits and not sticky whatsoever. They have been processed so nothing is alive (bugs, critters, etc.) so they can be used safely.

Q: Can I use it for a cake with 3 floors?

Would look nice within a cake. Would put something between cake and wood so wood doesn’t show moisture mark. Also I purchased these in 3 different sizes so they tapered from largest to small.
