Great box for the Price-- I love it.
I got this box for work. I am a CNC machinist right now and I have been looking around for a nice machinist tool box. The most known machinist brand is Kennedy, which all the people at work mostly have. They are metal, and very over priced. You are just paying for the name. This oak, hardwood, tool chest is great. Mine has no flaws at all. The color is great. The wood is amazing. People at work are always going over and looking at it and opening the drawers because it is so nice. Also it smells good....you know that nice wood smell. The drawers open very nicely, easier than the Kennedy boxes I have seen. BUY THIS BOX!! I got mine for $149. YOU CAN NOT GO WRONG.The only thing I would recommend is putting in some rubber drawer liner like I have. The green felt is very nice but the tools just slip around too much. So I got green rubber liner at Wal-Mart for 97 cents a roll. I got all the small drawers done with 1 roll. So i just need to buy another roll to finish the bigger drawers. Thanks for taking the time to read this. BTW - even the drawers sliders are made from wood. :)

You may have to return 2 or 3 before you get a good one
The first one arrived with significant manufacturing defects: the door panel did not clear the bottom drawer when stowed in the open configuration (the bottom drawer dragged on the panel), one of the locking pins was jammed and would not engage, 2 of the drawer fronts were split and warped; some of the drawer guides were warped and carelessly installed. The replacement arrived with shipping damage (the side panel was split away from the front panel); also had manufacturing defects: the locking pins were too short to engage the front panel in the locked configuration and the front panel was too short to engage the pins as well. It's obvious that Grizzly either has no ability or no interest in enforcing design and quality specs on their Chinese supplier. Also the packaging in my opinion is completely inadequate to protect such a heavy item from shipping damage. On the plus side, Amazon"s shipping and product return process is top notch. The "replacement" arrived a week after the original shipment. And the product itself would fit my needs perfectly if only they could ship me a good one.

Not bad for the price
Pretty nice for the price. This is not a Gertchner, but it looks pretty good and works fine. Just be aware the drawers do not have a stop and completely slide out. A few minor blemishes in the wood and not perfect fits but OK. The most obvious flaw was the Grizzly name plate on front was installed at about a 10 degree angle. Very obvious and yet passed inspection. Anyway, it works for my purpose, gun cleaning and repair tools. I'd buy it again for what I use it for. Just not heirloom quality.

Nonsense
Wow, It was completely damaged when I received it. Its amazing that amazon/grizzly would send me a broken/damage product. I am getting a total refund. This is just nonsense..... I recommend not buying this product...

The wood is beautiful and it seems to be sturdy otherwise
The lock does not work and there is a small crack in the wood on the front, and one drawer will not close flush with the others. I waited to give it to my husband to open for Christmas so I had no idea about any issues, I wish I would have looked at it earlier. I will call about what can be done tomorrow. The wood is beautiful and it seems to be sturdy otherwise.

not you average tool box, its utlility fine furniture
I bought this to hold tools and devices to keep on the boat, basically to hide stuff in plain site. Because of its outstanding beauty, it has become the featured item that is noticed as you enter the salon of my 37 foot sail boat. I purchased it for pliers, clips, wrenches, wires, remote controls, and boat knick knacks, but sits beside the tv/stereo console and is just beautiful. The oak wood finish is excellent, the craftsmanship quality exceeds its cost. I could have spent much more and gotten less in value. I bought 2 more for my home and the mid riser as a desk expander. I love the grizzly product, and so will you.

Got what I hoped for, not a Gerstner, but knew that when I purchased.
Arrived undamaged and all drawers work loose, but fine. I gave it 4 stars. If the drawers were as nice as Gerstner, it would have gotten 5 stars. I never expected it to be that good. I am a retired tool & die machinist. I have had Gerstner and Starrett boxes. I knew this would not be of that quality, but it is great for the price. The exterior fit and finish is very good. The drawers fit loosely, but slide fine. I purchased this box as a jewelry box for my wife and it is perfect for this.I read some review by others of damaged boxes, poor fitting components etc. Damage is due to shipper not the maker. My box had no issues. Don't expect a $900 box for less than $200 and you should be pleased. I am very particular and thought it was fine, my wife loves it!

Grizzly H8266 14 Drawer
It's a pretty good product overall. It is very heavy and definitely more of a sit and use chest. I use mine for fly tying material and it fits pretty much everything I own right now somewhat neatly. My only complaint is the locking system for the door that swings down and reveals the drawers. It uses a pin system at the top and doesn't lock by key like some others do. The key lock systems work a bit smoother and are grooved to let the cover slide easier underneath the drawer. That is the only thing wrong with this chest. It is solid and will be good for anyone needing to store small and some large items.

A pleasant surprise!
I am using this as a machinist's tool chest for gunsmithing tools and it suits the purpose admirably! Moreover, the fit and finish were better than I expected for the price, especially since some review seemed to take issue with the quality of said finish; the fact is that it is made out of real wood, not press-board, and while the drawer sides (which I think are pine [still, real wood]) could use a little bit of finer sanding (something one can do between jobs), overall, the felt, the wood-staining, the exterior finish and hardware are all very good. I should also add that the shipping was excellent and there were no signs of deliverymen having played football with it.The real bonus here is that this is coming in at under half the price of some very high-priced 'toney' boxes and yet, with a little spit & polish/tune-up, this chest should serve just as well and for just as long. In short, I was very pleasantly surprised with this tool chest!

Cabinet maker review.
Nice for the price but the workmanship is not that great. The drawers edge was barely sand and the varnish would need an other coat. The green fleece inside the drawer is not install properly. This is not US made but China made...Still nice for the price.Jacques.
