Owner 5311 SSW Cutting Point Octopus Hook, Pro Pack

These are some great hooks and very sharp. I usually use gamakatsu octopus hooks but they’re a little more pricy so I decided to try these. I will only be buying these octopus hooks from now on but will still buy other types of hooks from gamakatsu like the big river bait hooks. Only issue I had was one of the hooks was bad. Definitely give these a try.

You almost can't go wrong with Owner hooks although they are a bit on the expensive side and there are more reasonably priced alternatives out there. Same for Gammies. That said, I was running low and needed some right away so..... BTW. Never pass up an opportunity to pick up hooks/tackle people drop or discard on the rivers etc.. A lot of times stuff's still usable and every time it helps the environment.

After using the Gamakatsu octopus 4/0 hooks on red salmon for years, I've decided to try these Owner hooks. So far, I'm really impressed with these octopus 4/0. The point in incredibly sharp and seem to stay that way longer than the gamas. These are more money, but I believe it to be money well spent.

After a few trips of fishing where the salmon kept on getting off the cheaper hooks, I decided to spend a bit and see where it got me. Well it got me my limit. These are really sharp so you have to be a bit careful but once the fish get hooked they are staying on until you say so. These are really good, really recommend!

After trying a dozen other brands these by far are the best when you get a fish this hook is not coming off its even a struggle to unhook the fish .. Great for pompano rigs

I always forget how much I pay for cheap hooks but always remember wishing I hadn't gone cheap.
