Best Rain Jacket Ever
I've had other rain jackets and the Belfast is by far my favorite. It's quite breathable (no sweat), but on the other hand, it made a good windbreaker in the howling wind in Iceland and Ireland. It kept me completely dry when it was raining literally every day on vacation and also while boarding planes with no habitrails where it was always raining (a great rain jacket made the vacation literally much better!). It covers well down to above the knees so is great when you need to sit on your tail on a wet surface. It's decently stylish for a rain jacket. The zippers are not cranky, they work. The zippered pockets are really nice for a phone and keys. I didn't have any problem with rain coming through the wrist cuffs as some reviewers mentioned (the cuffs are adjustable with Velcro closures). Several reviewers said they felt this jacket runs small. To help other purchasers, a large fits a 38" bust and size 10 - 12 through the hips easily, with a hoodie on underneath for warmth. Not a ton of room to spare but plenty roomy to be completely comfortable. I'd never heard of Helly Hansen before, but LOTS of people in both Iceland and Ireland were wearing this brand, I completely understand why now! The only issue I had was blocked vision when the hood was on; I had to hold the hood up with one hand to keep a sightline if I didn't want my hair to get drenched. This was only a minor annoyance. This jacket is worth every penny.

Cozy raincoat without bulk.
Exactly what I needed. Flattering, quilted enough to be warm but not bulky. Will need to test the waterproof feature. Got this for an upcoming trip to UK. Did go up from my usual size (M) to a large as I wanted a little room to layer under the coat. The M would have been just right. I’m 5’4 and 148 lbs. the length is nice, hits about mid-thigh with option to unzip at bottom for sitting. Happy with purchase. The black color with the lighter zipper is fun, a little different from just a basic black.

Best raincoat I've ever purchased
I am 5'7" and can't stand raincoats/slickers that come to my waist/hips -- because if I wear a slightly longer shirt or cardigan, they get soaking wet. This is not only a stylish coat, but it is just the right length and weight. Not just that, I often need to work outside (we own a winery) in the POURING rain and it keeps me completely dry. I have purchased many raincoats over the years and this is the only one that does the trick. It is a bit warm in the summer, but I will suffer to stay dry. In the cooler/cold months, there is plenty of room to layer. The black is also great for travel; while not stylish, it's very packable and versatile. Well worth the $$.

Very nice rain/winter coat
This is a great jacket. Fit is great and just perfect for a fall visit to Iceland during the rainy season. Lining is warm yet lightweight and non-bulky. I first ordered a 4XL but it was very roomy. The 2XL is perfect for a 5'5' mature woman usually wearing a size 14-16. Addendum: l lived in this coat for two weeks. It is the "perfect" coat for wet, windy, 30+ weather. At 5'4" the coat hit just about 3" above the knee keeping most of my legs dry while allowing plenty of room for hiking. Hood cinched down and neck zips up above the chin to keep the rain and wind out. The style of the coat is also nice for city wear. I machine washed and dried and it looks like new!!

Not a winter jacke
This item is not a winter jacket. It was a very light three season jacket, but it was not a winter jacket.. It was at best of fall coat.. very unhappy when I received it it was not at all as it was described

Fantastic Travel Rain Coat
HH is a terrific brand that knows how to make a well-made and stylish coat. This jacket is the perfect length, style, warmth and color for spring rainy season, weather traveling or home. I especially like the amount of lining, how high up you can zip the jacket and the fit of the hood. You can actually go without an umbrella and see out! The M fits great.

Great jacket, just be mindful of the bright white zipper.
This is a very nice jacket but I ended up sending it back in favor of the Helly Hansen insulated Aden Rain jacket. The two are similar but this Belfast jacket is a tad bulkier and the ultra white zippers on the front were not attractive in my opinion. Both jackets fit true to size in my opinion. I am typically a size small, 5'5" 34C, ladies size 2. I purchased a size Medium so that I could comfortably layer this over thick sweaters or sweatshirts. (this is how I tried it on, with a thick sweatshirt) I had plenty of room to add a scarf and move my arms and shoulders freely while all zippered up. The rain hood provides nice coverage and does not fall off. If the zipper color does not bother you, I t think this is a great jacket!

Good for long, skinny people
Wonderful material and style, but the fit is too snug in the belly. If you have any kind of a muffin top, this might not be the right fit for you.
