I have been trying to manufacture one for some time now using my 3D printer but without an exact part it was difficult, plus my printer broke down. I broke down and purchased this little part. Fits perfectly and easily.
Fit perfectly on my 2016 Escape. The right side catch was missing when I bought the vehicle and I bought this piece to put in its place. Now my glovebox closes nice and tight.

easy glove box fix
I got my car from enterprise car sales. This was a missing existing piece. I ignored for a few years even though I could see my glove box light sliver as it wasn't shut completely. I finally figured out the problem, ordered this piece and it literally took 10 seconds to snap in place and now glove box is 100% normal. Should have done it before as it did always annoy me, but better late then never.
