Amprobe3037808 ACD-10 PLUS 600A Clamp Multimeter Gray

These are high quality meters designed by the Fluke co. I have 3 Amprobes and totally satisfied with the accuracy and ruggedness of these meters. If you don't have the money for a Fluke these are just as good with a more palatable price tag.

Works as intended, nice meter.

I spent a lot of time researching clamp meters before finally buying this one. The Amprobe ACD-10-PLUS-TRMS does all of the things that are important to me for less than $100. This meter reads AC current up to 600 amps, ohms (resistance), AC volts, DC volts, and has a loud continuity beeper. It also will test diodes and capacitance. This model is the True RMS model and it reads frequency with the clamp or the test leads. The test leads that come will this meter are nice and everything fits nicely into the carrying case. I give this meter 4 stars only because the selector switch is a little difficult to use, especially with gloves on. Other than that minor detail, I'm very happy with this meter. I also considered the Amprobe AMP-210 clamp meter which is a newer Amprobe meter that has all of the same functions as this one.

my old 20 old unit died, so ordered this in a pinch, works perfectly. Just remember only works on AC amps and you must put it on a single conductor at a time. I like the size so I can worm it over wires in a box.

I really like this meter, especially at the price. It's small and light - good for use n crowded panels. The display is easy to read and the case fits both the meter and the leads nicely. It does not have auto-shutoff, but it comes with an extra battery in case I forget. The battery is a common watch battery and will be easy to find if I need another one. I'd buy it again.

Does NOT measure DC Current. A bit on the lightweight side with no shock padding. A good drop will probably destroy this. Put a wrist lanyard on it if you can so it doesn't hit the ground the first time you flinch when you see a spark. LOL

A nice compact meter with all the functions one would need for residential service. True RMS current and voltage for non-linear loads, inrush and capacitance allow it to diagnose most single phase electrical issues.
