Non fiction and history book
This work is not a novel, as the title itself clearly declares. Nor has it been filed under any fiction category in amazon. It is a work of research in the history of Prithviraj Chauhan.

Well researched book
The author of this book has done a great job. From calling out different books prevalent in that era by pointing out their flaws, to answering most of the problematic questions arising in the mind of the readers over the years. The author has really done it all and it's really appreciable. But though for an experienced history reader, this book is really good and helpful, for those who want an idea about Prithviraj Chauhan in the first place, this book will really be confusing for them.

A wonderful book for scholars
A great work of academic research. It gives us a realistic glimpse of that time, and the loopholes in the Hindu thought process which plagues is even today.

Good Read!
This one is a dispassionate telling of the story of legendary King Prithviraj Chauhan. The book presents some misconceptions, controversies, and questions around him and tries to settle them using different historical sources available. Prithviraj’s defeat in 1192 in the second battle of Tarain at the hands of Muhammad Ghori marked a watershed in medieval history of India. The book discusses several interesting aspects of that time - socio-economic, political, military- and tries to answer why India lost to foreign invaders. Good read!

Eye-opening
This book is a must read for anyone interested in learning about medieval Bharat and it's politics. The author has done an arduous task of dissecting a complex figure like Prithvi Raj Chauhan to put the point across , that truth for the most part lies somewhere in the middle and Chauhan though a remarkable king was a shade of grey like any other human. Overall a book that I couldn't put down after I started reading.
