Kinky Curly Knot Today + Come Clean Shampoo Combo Set

I've used Knot Today for years, but I had never tried their shampoo... until now. Some curly/textured hair shampoos make my hair feel dry, like straw, even when it's soaking wet. I'll find a shampoo that works, then they'll change the formula or the store will stop carrying it and I'll have to hunt for something new. Well, I found it. I was so happy with the way it works. I'm sold!

I’ve tried a lot of curly hair products, but the Kinky Curly Knot Today + Come Clean Shampoo Combo Set is my mainstay. I always come back to them! The shampoo feels clarifying yet doesn’t leave my hair feeling stripped, which I love. When I use these products in combination with Kinky Curly Curl Custard, I get the most amazing results—my curls are defined and soft. Even if I just wash, condition, and go, I still have beautiful mermaid waves and curls. Highly recommend this combo for anyone with wavy-curly hair!

I am always trying different products and trying to find something that works for my curls. I may have finally stumbled upon something amazing! I washed with the shampoo and then conditioned and then after the final rinse, I added a little of the conditioner to leave in. My curls are amazing! they are hanging better and holding the curl in a way that they never have! I do still have some frizz but it is greatly reduced. Also, it is also making my hair so soft and shiny. I hope the frizz gets even better with time. Most of the products I use will do good in the beginning and then stop working on my hair so we will see if this becomes a permanent staple in my hair routine!

The Come clean shampoo is like a clarifying shampoo without turning your hair into straw. Its pretty amazing! The only thing I didnt care for is the scent. Its so light it almost has no scent at all. The conditioner is really amazing with the slip it gives, yet doesn't weight the hair down - its the best part! It has a soft nice light scent unlike the shampoo. The size of the bottles are really small for the price though

Even when I try other products, I return to this set. The leave-in is hands-down the best I’ve ever used and the shampoo cleanses perfectly without irritating my sensitive skin.Leave-in- Pros: concentrated and can be diluted easily , brushes through damp hair easily, moisturizes, softens, defrizzes, pairs well with any gels ot styling creams I’ve tried without stickiness or residue, works especially well with the KC custard, no coconut oil or shea butter, moisturizing without stickiness or residue, pleasant sweet fragrance dissipates to a subtle level when dry, fragrance layers well with most other fragranced products, works as rinse out conditioner, as a rinse out I think it would work for almost any hair type and as a leave-in it would work for most hair types with some wave or curl or that are coarser and dry. Fine haired folks might try diluting it with warm water 1:1 in a cup and adding only to dry ends.- Cons: noneShampoo: cleanses well and removes product buildup (I use it as a clarifying shampoo every 3-4 wash days). Cleans scalp gently without dryness or sensitivity, pleasant light citrus fragrance pairs nicely with sweet fragrance of Knot Today and CC, concentrated (1/8 tsp lathers through my high density medium width shoulder length waves) , rinses clean without stripping hair, works for all hair types- Cons: might be a bit too cleansing for daily use if you have delicate dry hair, but it’s still an excellent shampoo.Both:Pros: fair price, easy to use packaging, vegan, cruelty-free, sensitive skin friendly no coconut oil (does have coconut alkaline ingredients, but they have a very low allergy risk comparatively)

After years of my hair care journey I stopped looking for the best all in one product after using ‘knot today’ I tried out the shampoo and it is great as well! I use the stuff on a daily, just wet. My hair apply some of this and brush it through and it leaves my curls, bouncy and hydrated without any residue on them or crunchy factor

It always works for my low porosity hair. I stopped using this combo for a while to experiment with other brands but I should’ve just stuck to this. I think the shampoo washes well without stripping my hair and makes the curls pop. It may not work for everyone but for me it’s a winner.

I go to aqua classes, and I need a chelating shampoo. This one has a natural chelating agent called phytic acid that removes hard water minerals, salt, chlorine in addition to dirt or product residue. It's more than a clarifying shampoo although it would work for that, too. I love it. The citrusy fragrance is fantastic. The conditioner is just as good! It is really good for all hair types, and works as a leave in, a rinse-out conditioner, or a detangler. It is particularly good for curly hair and won't weigh your hair down. My hair is wavy, but it is short now, so I could probably use most any shampoo and conditioner, but I can't give this up. It's well liked by curly guys and girls with a range of curl types. Read about it on Mestiza Muse. She's a genius with hair products for curly hair. I think the marshmallow root is the star of the show. Something about it is a bit of a miracle worker. You don't need much of the conditioner.
