Good value. Excellent as add on 2 channel amp
This is not really a "power amp."This is an integrated amp (power + simple preamp). This is not a problem.I used this for a Denon receiver that allows an extra 2 channels of sound in a home theater. This is very good match for that purpose. It is utterly silent, no fan or other noise. It does not get hot when run at average, fairly loud levels, I've never seen any need for a fan.Since this is powering surround channels, I can't claim to hear it alone, but it seems clear, clean for music and movie soundtracks. The power draw when on standby is negligible. It looks good and is subtle, no eye blinding LED or other issue. It "just works," and works as it should, invisible in the background. This is a great product.I have a minor complaint: I wish it had a remote for power on/off.Other than that, this is highly recommended. If I ever need another 2 channel amp, I will get one of these. It is a really (exceptionally) good value.

Do not Buy !
Stay away of that piece of junk. Mine arrived with the left channel not working at all. Yes I did tried and check every things to be absolutely certain that the left channel had a malfunction. Absolutely dead on arrival. No sound at all. But from what I heard from the right channel the sound seems clean and good. The unit is heavy with a nice finish. But what a shame that there is no quality control before sending it from the factory in China. I had read like you do now the many bad reviews but I took a chance. I return it back to Amazon but in the end I lost $40 cause Amazon do not give a full refund cause IM in Canada.

For the price, its awesome
This is a solid little amp, and for the price zero complaints. I haven't subjectively tested it in comparisons, but to me its fine. (IE spend the money on the speakers). The output is sufficient to support Klipsch RB-51 II speakers for my office. It might be a little underpowered for other applications. I like that they provide small bass and treble knows on the back. I did boost the bass a little to make up for the small speakers. I have zero issues with clicks or its starting up when an auditory source is presented (an issue others have mentioned) because I leave it in the always on mode (a setting on the back). If I crank the volume all the way up, I can just hear just a faint noise at 1 foot away. At the half setting (the loudest I use) -- nothing. If the power of this amp is enough for your application, this would be my pick, until you are in a much different price bracket.

Broke down after less than a year, but under warranty
I have had the amp for less than a year and it's done! At first I noticed that my Fronts weren't playing, even though the lights were all on (and the correct colors were on). I messed around with the connections a bit and it started working again. So I thought maybe it was the RCA cables running from the pre-out on the receiver to the amp. Changed the cord but shortly after, the amp stopped working again (all the lights still on) and has not produced signal since. It was obviously a coincidence that it started working again when I messed with the connections. So I put my Fronts back on the AVR power and just don't use my rear in ceiling Atmos speakers for now. Working fine now, besides not getting my full 7.2.4..... I am going to try and contact Audio Source and see if I get the same non-response as others have said. Will update this review once I do!UPDATE: Contacted Audio Source by phone and they picked up! I was told to get them all my info and an invoice by email, so I did. Now just waiting for the resolution to complete. It sounds like they will either fix it or get me a new unit! I will update this review again once it's resolved, one way or another!NEW UPDATE: The fixed unit came back all beat up from FedEx and was damaged, so they said toss that one and they sent me a new one. This time it was packaged adequately and arrived fine. The unit works so far! Overall I am happy with the service on this product! Upped the stars from 3 to 4 for the solid customer service!LAST UPDATE: It’s been over two years since I received the new unit and it’s still working great.

Best value for the dollar
I purchased the Audio Source 1 amp over 20 years ago and it is still working perfectly and it has thousands of hours on it. I recently purchased the newer Amp 100 and it is also a fantastic amp for the money. I believe Carver had a hand in the design of the Audio Source amps. The sound is clear, full and the bass is very good. For the money, you will need to spend $1000 to equal the sound quality. My Revell M106's along with the SVS 1000 Pro subs sound fantastic. Very hard to hear the difference between the Amp 100 and my new Rotel A12 MkII which is a $1200 amp using the same DAC. I really love the dual channels and simplicity of the Amp 100. I do agree on a review that the volume and balance knobs are too small but it's a small price to pay for such a good amp. I have never had any issue with overheating and I feel that the amp. runs pretty cool. I also really like the treble and bass control on the back of the amp. Giving the treble or bass a bit of a boost in the event your speakers need it was a very good idea. I found the bass was fine but my Revel M106's needed a bit of boost in the high end. My PSB 400's were fine flat. Don't be nervous about purchasing the Amp 100, it's a fantastic deal, great company and you will not find sound quality and build with an amp at this price.

Catches on fire.
I normally don't write reviews. But for this, I want to warn people in case this happens to them. I have owned this product now since the end of September 2022. It is now 12/30/23 and this amp caught on fire. It was working really good all year until now. I have a statue that sat by it. And I noticed it was moved. When I went to go move the statue back to it's normal spot. I heard popping, then sizzling, then when I looked at the vents you can see flames coming out of it. I quickly disconnected everything and unplugged it. The flame went out, and you could hear some popping in it still. Then smoke began to rise out of it. It has a two year warranty with it. I will be calling them on the next business day. But I wouldn't trust this again for anything. I think I'll find a better one.

Recommended for setups with a need for clean 2-CH power ...
Recommended for setups with a need for clean 2-CH power and smooth integration into a master unit. Currently using this amp with my Denon X4400H, powering my rear height Dolby Atmos speakers. The hardwired trigger works perfectly, and the power is more than sufficient for two overhead speakers. I would highly recommend this amp for people who need a simple and clean 2-CH add-on.

Excelente amplificador

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
I had this amp for about a month went to go turn it on and I heard a sizzling sound and then I look over and there was smoke coming out of the top. Do not waste your money on this product.

What a great little unit
What a great little unit. I love that the bass and treble controls are hidden in the back. Google chromecast on the main input and my preamp and turntable on input 2, works flawlessly every time with enough power to irritate my wife and rattle the windows. Perfect!

Second ones the charm! Lol
Works well. Decent power, currently running it bridged to power my center channel. First one I got was a dud and was returned this one works well. Worth the price for a cheaper audio amp to power rear channels or bridged for a center
