Can you cut the wire of a chain link fence with this? The wire cutter is supposed to be pretty good, better than that of other models.

I would not use the Rebar to cut chain link fence. You will likely break it or at least need to replace the cutters. It's a great multi tool, but if you want to cut chain link, even a cheap pair of fencing pliers would be vastly better for that task. I have however used the Rebar to cut lots of soft steel fencing wire, and also steel clothesline. It's a great little tool.

What is the difference between this item and the "Leatherman 831547 Rebar"?

I checked the package, I actually have the 831547 model, which comes with the regular nylon case with velcro. As far as I can tell, it's the same. The other models have a leather box sheath (831551), or the black oxide model with Molle sheath (831553) Those are the only 3 variations I can find.

Does it comes with sheath?
