10pc Heavy Duty Giant 5" Stainless Steel Safety Pins

Wonderful for what we wanted. Stainless and powerfully strong....this is the only source for these and the quality is wonderful.I bought them to close the soft covers that surround our small dogs' beds so that we never need wash the beds, just these velour covers, like envelopes. So I bought a bunch. They are safe, our main concern with using a pin. But because Amazon can not sell any dangerous weapon-like object we were cautioned when calling and ordering them, that the points were not really very sharp. They suggested and my husband did....use a power grinder in the basement to sharpen every point....five dog bed covers per set = ten, and three pins on each inside doubled part to keep fabric straight and three on outside to seal them =sixty of these things. Worth every bit of effort as through the washer they went. I made little bag covers for the outside ones as they would have beaten the washer and drier to pieces otherwise.If you have a need for something impossible to find, just try Amazon!And this company was wonderful about assisting me with my questions!nancy morse

look sturdy. will do the job for which they are needed.

The product is well made. However, it does leave huge holes in fabric, therefore I am returning the set. If your purpose is to pin fabric together, choose another. I gave it 2 stars because the website description was not accurate.

Pins rusted when exposed to saltwater. I guess they weren't made for that even though they are stainless steel.

This is a perfect item for horseback riding or back packing - great for equipment failure fixes in the field!

tooo hard to open !! could not get them through the fabric at all .did not like at all !! could not close.
