terrible product. Worked for about a week then quit. Also very loud.

Purchased this inverter in Aug 2013. Have used it one year now; works just fine.Have even run a small power strip off this inverter during long trips in our minivan for children to play all their devices , galaxy cell phones, laptop, Kindles, etc. This device amazingly stood up. Wont hesitate to buy again. Cons ; 1. a bit pricey2. loud when turned on; however this is a blessing in disguise. Why ? you wont forget to turn it off when you leave the car and hence avoids a dead battery.

Okay, had to get rid of it though because it was interfering with my car entertainment system. On a positive note it didn't make any noise and it is quite small.

Do not purchase this inverter from Targus -- they do not back up their product. I used this product for a couple years then the tip of the cable you plug into the cigarette lighter dropped out. When I went online to get a replacement adapter cable they told me they discontinued the replacement cable as a product sold separately and they told me to buy another inverter. They offer a promo code for a discount. I chatted online with a product rep to ask why they can't/won't sell the cables when they obviously still make the inverter with the cables -- all he could say (after a 10 minutes of doublespeak) is "we don't have the part available separately." So this is in effect a twisted kind of bait and switch designed to get you to buy another inverter (the device itself is fine) instead of supporting their product by offering replacement parts. Buy an inverter elsewhere. This kind of business practice is unethical in my opinion.

Works great but the product description says that the item is new but it looks used

This is a great item for traveling a great way to keep the video player going for hrs while on the road and to items charged up..

BUT....Targus Customer Service and knows nothing about their products, how they work, what they do, what they connect with, etc. Missing in their description is the fact this inverter has an AC plug that accepts almost any kind of wall changer plug. No need for expensive adapters and charger tips, or any other charger. The product is cool; the Customer Service is terrible.
