Hammer wedge kit, contains 9 wedges perfect for rehandling clawhammers, ballpein hammers of all sizes, hand sledges, and small hatchets. wooden wedges made of poplar measure 1.5" long, 1.5 " wide, 7/32" thick. Conical steel wedges measure 15/32" in diameter by 1/2" long. Flat steel wedges 3/4" long 5/16" wide 5/32" thick. MADE IN USA Review: wedges for your wedges - just started to learn how crappy my hafting skills are. bought a couple of axe heads and handles on the ee bay, and have a couple of old ball peens from dad's tool box laying around...so been experimenting on things to remind myself why i didnt pursue being a carpenter before. still, its fun and these round wedges work pretty good. Review: Perfect - Saved my trusty old sledge hammer from being tossed into the scrap heap! It seems to be good as new after using this kit to repair it.

wedges for your wedges

Perfect
Saved my trusty old sledge hammer from being tossed into the scrap heap! It seems to be good as new after using this kit to repair it.

Works well
Worked pretty good. I was wedging a small hatchet so the wooden wedge worked good but had to use the small straight metal wedge for the vertical expansion. So, yes it’ll work for you if you’re doing a full blown axe. And will work if using on a small hatchet. Just can’t use the round wedges on the small hatchet

Great for craftsmanship connection
Regular wedges work well, but these work a tad bit better. Not many people appreciate craftsmanship, but this really puts on a great touch to the tool.

Saved my old hammers
I’ve had the same hand me down hammers for nearly 50 years. The wedges tightened them up nicely so they will be passed on to one of the grandkids one day
