These open extra wide.
These needle nose pliers are great. I have big hands so these nicely curved thick grips feel good in my hand. Fit and finish are spot on as you would expect from Irwin. Very pleased and I'm sure you will be to if you buy these. Great tool.

Name brand and great quality
Many choices for pliers online but the name brand are the best even if more expensive. Full deep grip lines. Should last me along time.

Really Get the Job Done

Works for general purpose, not precision due to gaps. Actually 6.5" not 6".
The build quality is nice, except the most important bit - the teeth and the tips don't line up precisely! There's a small gap between them, and the very tips of the nose are slightly rounded. They work well for general purpose like cutting and twisting wire, but not for high precision work. Durability remains to be seen. The description on the Amazon page is awful. Where's the exact dimension? "6 inch"? 6 inch from where to where? Amazon quotes 8.23"L x 8.86"W but that's the size of the cardboard packaging! Ridiculous to not have these basic information. I mean it's a pair of pliers, so the size is about the only important specification about them. Also, it's not actually 6 inches (of course). It's 16.6 cm (6.5 in) from base to tip, the noses are 5.3 cm (2.1 in) long, and the tips are about 2 mm square.

Great for Tight Spaces and Small Work
These are really handy when you need to reach into tight spots. The long nose makes it easy to grab and bend small stuff like wire or clips. They’re comfortable to use and feel solid. Good tool to have around for detailed work.

Great as a string-changing cutter
