Can you confirm that this product is folic acid? Like the previous person, I cannot take folic acid and need to take folate.

It is the methylated form of folic acid. It is folate, NOT folic acid- it is misleading as the tradename is Quatrefolic. I myself am missing the gene to activate folic acid- to put the methyl group on it- so I cannot take folic acid either.
This does what my body cannot. It already adds the methyl group to the folic acid making it the activated form of folate that my body is able to use.

Does it contain actual folic acid? I can't metabolize this synthetic version of folate.

Folic acid is a heat-resistant form of folate.  If you need pure folate, you should get it through food because otherwise it is susceptible to oxidation.  The cancer risk of folic acid is EXCESS folic acid.   (The same is true for EXCESS folate.)  So if you eat a lot of fortified food, watch your supplementation levels..  Second, 5-methyltetrahydrofolate is considered by many to be superior to folate because it is the most active form.  Also,  people with the MTHFR gene must take their folate in  this methylated form to process folate at all.  As for people with G6PD deficiency, there have been recent studies that actually use folic acid supplementation.  Best to speak to your doctor, because it is hard to find a B-complex that doesn't use folic acid.  I use this because it has (mostly) the best forms of each B vitamin.  It is also tested and approved by ConsumerLabs.

How moist should the powder be? I noticed dark spots today on the inside of my capsules (mold?) and when i broke one open it was very moist.

I've had issues with the product coming with a short expiration date and dark spots.  I now buy it locally, where I can check the expiration date and then I add more descent packs to keep mold from coming in.  I don't take it if it's moldy.

of course. when something is vegan-friendly, it's simply to inform that side of the market they are within their diet restrictions. if you are not vegan or vegetarian, then it does not apply to you. take as normal.
