Seagate BarraCuda Q1 960Gb SATA 2.5S

Used this to upgrade my Asus 310U laptops HDD to improve speed and battery endurance. Works perfectly like any other SSD. The SSD management s/w which can be downloaded from Seagate web site is very useful and user friendly. The s/w also manages other brand drives also (e.g. my laptop also has a SanDisk M.2 drive which the s/w identifies and do analysis). After installing the SSD I noticed the fan sound has reduced (Asus 310U is known for continuous fan sound) probably due to less heat being produced in the absence of the HDD.

Being an SSD Drive, please do not defragment this disk. It reduces the life of the disk. Actual size comes to only 440 GB. This is being used as OS ops disk and needed to be freshly installed. Worked smooth as a whistle.

Ho utilizzato questo SSD come disco primario del mio pc di casa. Ho installato il disco senza difficoltà. Le prestazioni sono ottime e mi auguro lo sia anche la longevità.

I can't say It is good for gaming or not because I hanvn't a gaming processor.You can literally feels the speed when you move from HDD to SSD, booting and shutdown speed increases and file transfer and application opening speed too.Almost a good entry level SSD
