Great device and great value
The iron neck alpha is a much better value for your money than the more expensive iron neck halo devices. Because it has D rings on all 4 sides, you have the versatility to do side bending and rotational exercises in addition to the conventional forward and back motions. I know many people are used to using these harnesses with a weight attached to a chain hanging from the harness, but trust me us a resistance band attached to the d rings instead. It's a great way to rehab or build up the neck stability and strength without putting as much stress on the neck. I'm a personal trainer and I use this with a lot of my clients if they have chronic tightness or aches in their neck. It helps reduce pain and improve range of motion. I've even used it when I have a tension headache, and by balancing the tension between all the neck muscles instead of just the ones that attach to the base of the skull, my headache went away. I wouldn't say the harness is 100% comfortable or sturdy, but I don't know if any head harness can make that claim. At least I've never tried one that is completely comfortable and doesn't shift at all when using it. I can usually steady it while I'm using it by holding 1 or 2 of the D rings while doing my neck motions. I highly recommend this and would buy it again. I've bought 2 of them so I have one at home, and one at the gym. Anyone that wrestles, does Jiu Jitsu, boxing, muay thai, kickboxing, plays football or rugby, should have one of these. Or just anyone with a weak or sensitive neck should use it to improve their neck stability. Under the supervision of a medical or rehab professional, I'm sure it would be valuable to some people recovering from concussions or neck injuries too, if used properly.

Perfect!
Wow! Don’t listen to the negative reviews. This gear is well built, sturdy, comfortable, and fits well. It is adjustable to fit around the head. It has a smaller chin strap than most others allowing for a more comfortable chin tuck during certain exercises. The straps around the head are padded. It does not move when doing side pulls. Many rings for various exercise angles. Costs a little more than others, but well worth it. I read others mentioning the Velcro giving out over time. I guess time will tell. Highly recommend!

Good product. Needs some minor design tweaking
All in all a good quality product. The price is a little bit higher than what its worth for the alpha plus, but i didnt find very many other competitors. My only concern is the horizontal and vertical adjustments. They are limited to how small they can be set. So for anybody with a small to medium-sized head, they would have to know how to trim the stitching back and restitch it so that they can shrink the circumference of those straps, if they want to cinch it down tightly for their exercises. I know how to sew so its not a big concern for me, but it would be nice to buy something that doesnt need modifications. The feel of how it sits on the head and how the torque is applied is nice because the front d ring and side d rings allow for repositioning of the forces on the head and give some variability to the muscles being activated. Its pretty straightforward how to use this.

Returned, uncomfortable.
It seems high quality, but it squishes your ears and is very uncomfortable. A simple design tweak would fix this. I honestly expected a more ergonomic design for the price. I was able to return for a full refund though.

Game-changer for rugby neck strength and injury prevention
As a rugby player, neck strength is non-negotiable, and the Iron Neck has been a huge addition to my training. It’s incredibly versatile and lets you train the neck in multiple directions, which is critical for contact sports like rugby. What stands out: • Adjustable head & chin straps — fits securely and comfortably, even during heavier resistance • Controlled movement — feels much safer and more effective than traditional neck harnesses • Portable — easy to use at home, in the gym, or even during warm-ups • Noticeable carryover — I’ve felt better stability in tackles, rucks, and scrums It takes a bit of time to get used to proper form, but once you do, it’s extremely effective. If you play rugby or any contact sport and take injury prevention seriously, this is 100% worth it.

Great Value
Yea it's not the iron neck pro but for $400 cheaper it's an awesome value. With all the d rings you can do a variety of exercises and hit all of your neck. I use with bands and with weights. Set up is way and you really only have to set it up once then its always good to go. Material is very nice and heavy duty. I've had this for over a year and have had no issues.
