Why did you pick this product vs others?: This fit the Streamlight PolyTac light with the additional hardware provided. The fit was great; it mounted directly to my helmet's picatinny rail and works exactly as advertised. This will also work great on a rifle with a picatinny mount. I will likely be ordering more of these for that purpose as well. Value for the money is definitely on-par.

For the money I have no complaints, a little rework and this will be excellent for the purpose I got it for. The roll pin falls out, and that causes the clamping mechanism to explode. Easy fix, stays together under tension anyway. Other than that the parts are clean and it works. A cheap addition to an even cheaper flashlight for a shotgun that wont serve a critical purpose.

I just installed my Streamlight Pro- Tac flashlight to the Alonefire mount and Im very impressed with the lockup and ruggedness of this product. I have no doubts it will stay attached to my 300 bkout. It's incredibly sturdy yet you can remove the mount with 1 hand. The only reason Im giving it a 4 - 5 stars is because it would be great if they could shave a few ounces of weight off the mount. It's a little heavy. Other than that I say buy with confidence. Don't let the $12 price convince you this isnt going to be a quality product.

This flashlight mount for my shotgun worked perfectly it’s sure to hold the flashlight tightly as I go sport shooting often listening to slopquest podcast as hearing protection, I’m worried that my wild raucous laughter at the show may loosen it(just kidding) but the show really is wildly funny, that’s slopquest podcast.

Excellent flashlight rail mount. Sturdy and solid. Not the highest quality construction, but for the price it is unbeatable. The quick release is SO convenient. I purchased a couple and attached them to different flashlights so I can change them our in seconds. One thing to note, I assumed the insert was rubber so that it would grip the flashlight better. It is not rubber, it's plastic. It still ended up working is was just different than what I thought it would be. Very happy.

Good product

Easy to install and attach your flashlight on your shotgun. Sturdy and light weight. I attached it to my Maverick 88 12 gauge. I use a small piece of bicycle tape to fill in the gap since the mount didn't fit the diameter of my particular flashlight. Now it's tight and secure. It is a great safety feature so you can identify your target and prevent causing a tragedy. I am buying another one for my other shotgun.

The problem with this offset flashlight/accessory mount is that its stationary jaw is undersized and may not grip some rails firmly. There is a good deal of variation in picatinny rails, especially built-in ones on some airguns and optical devices. The grip depth of the stationary jaw is pretty small and along with less that crisp angles will not firmly grip some rails. I used it on an ESSLNB Night Vision Monocular, which has a rail molded into the bottom of the device. This rail is considerably out of spec, a tough one to clamp onto even with higher quality mounts. It was hopeless with this one until I ground down the rail height so that the small fixed jaw could hook over and get a grip on the under side of the rail. The small amount of engagement could be an issue under firearm recoil, but is solid enough to hold an LED IR illuminator securely in normal handling. I ended up happy with my application, but be warned that YMMV.
