Great sound!
I play drums in a band who is members will sometimes use the older version of this (the version with the handle on the side). When a smaller speaker I had stopped working because of a loosened AC connector (It was around 11 years old and had a lot of use) I decided to pick this one up. I use it with the tower array system and plug my snare drum microphone into it and then another output of my electronic drum pad. This is much louder than the old speaker I had which was only 30 W. Well, it doesn’t have the best bass response, that’s why I’m using it with my tower array. It does a perfect job of enhancing the tower array’s mid and high end. When I first used it at a gig, my fellow bandmate said that it will definitely helps them sound more cohesive when they use theirs.

Excelente sonido y calidad.

Vocals and acoustic guitars.
Stellar delivery as expected from Amazon.I experienced the PW50 at one of our acoustic gigs. This coffee house supplied an in-house single PW50 on a pole with a Yorkville 8 channel mixer/w effects. I wasn't too optimistic about how it was going to sound. We normally use a pair of Yorkville NX35's and a Yorkville M810 powered mixer. We fired up the PW50 and adjusted the gains etc and it was perfect ! The vocals were clear , the guitars shone. I went down to the back of the venue and listened as my partner performed a song. No problem hearing him and the sound was clear and precise. Very surprising. The system was not overbearing and customers who wanted to listen were happy , as well as customers who wanted to talk at their tables without needing to shout. I bought 2 of these units after that show. The boxes are solid , well built , and are really easy to carry . We still have the bigger system , just in case we want to utilize drums and bass , but we don't need it for the smaller stuff. We don't even need a mixer now ( but we still use one for extra instruments) Each box has 2 channels with volume and tone controls. My mic and guitar can go directly into one box using the 2 channels (xlr and 1/4") and my partner can run into the other box. Each box also has an "out" for a subwoofer which switches up the crossovers of the PW50s so that the low frequencies are diverted away from the small drivers into the sub. These are good units if you use them in the right venues.

Ideal portable all-purpose amplified speaker
I bought the Powerwerks PW50 to serve as an affordable small portable PA system for a social organization. It's light enough at 14.7 lbs for an elderly person to carry easily, has a low enough power requirement (80W nominal) to run off a portable power station, a built-in 3-channel mixer, and a good frequency response for voice with optional subwoofer output for music. No temperamental Bluetooth or other unnecessary widgets. When it arrived, I was amazed at its small size, light weight, yet somehow a feeling of rigid construction. It feels very solid. I tried it with the Shure SM48 mic (XLR) on a 25-foot cable, and I was blown away. Massive volume at a 50% level, more than enough to fill a medium to large-sized room depending on room acoustics, with really good-sounding, natural vocal reproduction. No feedback at all, even standing in front of the speaker. Out of the box, an impressive, well-engineered product that should last years if treated with normal care. Well done, Powerwerks!
